The London Hand and Wrist Unit (LHWU) has brought together world class surgeons and experiences therapists at five of the Capitals leading private hospitals, The Wellington, The London Bridge, The Lister and The Portland Hospitals. The LHWU is recognised international as providing expertise and high quality care for all patients, adults and children alike with conditions affecting the upper limb. The Team The LHWU is privileged to work with a growing number of eminent Consultant Orthopaedic and Plastic Hand Surgeons. Collectively the LHWU group of consultant have expertise in the medical and surgical management of all conditions and injuries affecting the hand and wrist. The Hand Therapy team is comprised of highly experienced Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists at a Senior or Clinical Specialist level. The Hand Therapists share the skills of both professions in addition to their extended role as wound care nurse and plaster technician. Collectively the skills and knowledge possessed by the hand therapist ensure holistic care from initial assessment through to discharge. Conditions regularly seen at the LHWU The LHWU manages both acute trauma as well as acquired conditions affecting the hand and wrist. Conditions regularly managed at the LHWU include: • Trauma to tendons, nerves and other soft tissues • Fractures and joint injuries • Dupuytren’s Disease • Carpal tunnel syndrome and other peripheral nerve problems • Tendopathies including tendonitis and tenosynovitits

Dr Woodland is an NHS consultant and University Senior Lecturer at the Royal London Hospital, a top London Teaching Hospital. He is expert in all areas of gastroenterology, and has a specialist interest in gastro-oesophageal reflux disease and swallowing disorders (he is a regular speaker on these subjects at international gastroenterology meetings). He is a skilled endoscopist in gastroscopy, colonoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound. 

This skilled and experienced gastrointestinal and bariatric surgeon consults from three clinics in London. He specializes in performing minimally invasive laparoscopic surgical procedures. Referrals including NHS referrals are accepted from general medical practitioners by the surgeon. The surgeon is registered with most major health insurance providers. Services provided include robotic, gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric band and gastric balloon bariatric surgical procedures for obese patients, revisional bariatric surgical procedures, emergency surgical procedures, surgery for hernia, surgical procedures to remove gallstones, surgery for gastric reflux disease and laparscopic surgery and endoscopy of the gastro-intestinal tract.

 Marcia Harewood specializes in osteopathy, iridology, naturopathy, herbal medicine & acupuncture.  She is very experienced and has been in practice since 1992.Her specialities are fertility, lymphatic problems, skin, musculoskeletal, headaches, bowel and digestive problems and also treats a whole range of health problems, with excellent results in a very short  space of time.
