The hospital has 6 state-of-the-art equipped operation rooms in which every type of eye treatment which requires surgery can be performed: ultrasound cataract surgery – operations of the inner eye for diseases caused by diabetes – diseases of the macula or degenerative changes of the retina – surgical treatment of glaucoma (high ocular pressure) – strabismus correction surgery – plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids – corneal transplant surgery – refractive laser surgery. Most surgical procedures are performed on a one-day basis, and patients are free to go home half an hour after their operation.
