Dr Umbert Corderas
Biography:
He was born in S. Feliu de Codinas in 1879 and just turned eight, he lost his father and mother. This led to immediate transfer to Barcelona, ??where a paternal uncle acted as preceptor. In severe discipline, and an environment in which no intellectual concerns were distinguished, he attended high school and then medical studies at the University of Barcelona. Once graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1901, and without tradition or influence some, began his specialization in Dermatology and Syphilography in accordance with the terms of the time and deciding, in turn, completing his studies at a medical center Foreign. He made a two-year stay in Paris at the Pitie, together with Dr. J.Darier (undisputed figure in European history dermatologic) and Nosocomial Laboratory (infectious diseases) of Saint-Louis who led Dr. Gastou (pioneer in new pathological currents).
