Skin tags are unsightly but harmless skin growths. They grow on a stem and are usually found on the eyelids and face, neck, armpits or under breasts. They are also called polyps or soft fibroma. Patients should take all prescribed medications and apply topical medications correctly. They should sleep with their head elevated for two days. They should avoid strenuous exercise and lifting heavy objects for at least a week. They should avoid exposing the treated area to direct sunlight for at least nine months. They should avoid touching or scratching the treated area to ensure that the healing is quick.
