About The Implant Centre - Haywards Heath Practice

The Implant Centre has two centres of excellence in Sussex, based in Haywards Heath and Hove, specialising in the placement of dental implants and associated treatments. Due to the high quality of service provided, the practice has over 300 referring dentists who often also refer family members. Services provided at both clinics are the surgical placement of dental implants to replace a single missing tooth, multiple teeth or the full mouth. Bone augmentation surgical procedures and sinus lifts are also performed if required before the placement of implants. Nervous patients can be treated under sedation.

I had two implants in 2016. I was very impressed with the whole, careful treatment plan. So impressed that I then had 2 more implants in 2019.

Through every stage and the intervening time, I have never once had any discomfort or any cause to contact the surgery.

I have been most impressed with the smooth operation of the entire team involved.
I think the cost was maybe a little higher than other centres but it's true, you get what you pay for!

5 50 Dental Implants

My husband and I have both had dental implants and cannot fault the treatment or service. My husband had 8 implants and full sets of teeth top and bottom due to both damaged teeth and gum disease. I had 2 implants and 3 teeth due to a broken crown and lack of chewing surface. This was quite an undertaking, however, it has improved his quality of life no end. It was expensive, but how do you value the quality of life, he is so pleased with it all. I am also very pleased with my results as well.

We were both referred and advised by our own dentist to visit and have never had any regrets about doing so. The whole team have been professional, informative, supportive and kind. Nothing has been too much trouble right from the initial phone call from us until the end of treatment. Very friendly and comfortable environment - particularly when you feel that you are taking on something so new and different. Thank you to everyone.

BDS MBBS FDS RCS (Eng) MRCS (Eng) He is exceptionally qualified for his role as one of the implant surgeons at The Implant Centre. Having trained in the UK Bill is both a dentist and a medical doctor. He is also a qualified surgeon and a registered Specialist Oral Surgeon. As if this wasn’t enough, he also has both a Fellowship and Membership from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. His extensive background in Oral Surgery provided him with the perfect starting point for learning the finer points of implant surgery when he placed his first implant back in 1996. Since then he has gone on to become one of the most experienced implantologists in the UK and has pioneered techniques now used by implantologists throughout the World.

Biography:
BDS MBBS FDS RCS (Eng) BSc Hons Having trained in the UK . He qualified as both a dentist and medical doctor, with a degree in psychology. Guy prides himself on his ability to simplify implant dentistry and reassure patients at every stage. He trained at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals gaining distinctions and was put forward for the University of London Gold Medal (the highest accolade from the college). The focus of his psychology degree was dental anxiety and this is utilised on a daily basis putting nervous patients at ease with his relaxed chairside manner. Guy says “Explaining every step during the procedure is one of the most important skills to have, people need to know what is happening and how everything is going, my patients find this most reassuring”.He places around 600 implants a year (correct 2009-11) and has an audited success rate of 99.4% (5 year data). His aim is to simplify each treatment plan, this allows for a faster healing and most patients can expect a painless and trouble free healing period due to the minimal intervention (keyhole) surgical techniques he has developed.

He qualified from Guys Hospital in 1988. He has been restoring implants for the last 13 years and has worked in private practice for 20 years and is the lead clinician at a large surgery in Sevenoaks where he carries out general dental treatments. He particular interest lies with the final cosmetic result being as natural and believable as possible combining implant supported crowns with crown and bridge work to achieve the best cosmetic result possible. Tony has worked closely with his technician for the last 10 years and has been his dentist (as well as members of staff within the practice) for the same period.
