I attended this clinic for my first appointment and, based on my experience, will not be returning.
Before attending, I completed the online form, which I found unclear regarding NHS pricing versus private fees. When I asked for clarification at reception, the explanation was not clear, and I was ultimately charged £10 more than the amount I had originally been quoted, without this being explained or acknowledged.
During my visit, I felt the overall communication and customer care were lacking. One member of the reception team was particularly abrupt, and I did not feel welcomed or thanked for my custom at any stage.
My hygiene appointment cost £113. While the hygienist was polite and sympathetic, a significant portion of the appointment was spent on a full examination and questioning that I had not requested. A tooth scaling was carried out, but there was no time left for a polish, leaving my front teeth unpolished. When I asked whether a polish could be completed, I was told there was no time and that this would require booking and paying for an additional session or a separate whitening treatment.
Despite being told there was no time to complete the polish, time was later spent providing a demonstration on self-dental care using a model, which added to my frustration.
After a scaling appointment, part of an existing amalgam filling in my upper back molar was chipped. Since then, I have experienced ongoing pain in that tooth and have been struggling to eat comfortably.
Due to the cost of the hygienist appointment, which I found very high, I am not in a position to afford further treatment at this time.
After leaving my review, I tried to provide feedback to the clinic by phone. I was told that the manager would return my call, but this did not happen.
This experience has left me in discomfort and feeling unsupported, both in terms of the dental outcome and the follow-up communication.
Overall, I left feeling that the appointment was poorly managed, that pricing and expectations were not transparent, and that the service did not reflect the cost of treatment.
