Dr Roddy Casey

Job Title:
Roddy qualified as a dentist from Cork University in 1996, he started working in this practice in 1996, and took over as principal dentist in 1998. Over this time there have been many positive developments in dentistry which both Roddy and the practice have wholeheartedly embraced. Roddy’s many years of experience enable him to provide not only a comprehensive range of treatments, but also a balanced one, with the insight to help each patient select the best treatment for them. As an experienced enthusiastic clinician he has gained a reputation for his skilful and caring approach to his patients, providing dental care and solutions from general preventative dentistry to complex restorative treatments. Whilst he undertakes all forms of dentistry he has a particular interest in short term orthodontics and has since trained with 6 Month Smile to be able to provide this treatment within the practice to our own patients, transforming not only their smiles but also their confidence! Roddy is also one of the very few dentists in Leicester whom provides domicillary care which means he visits patients and treats them from their own homes, to those who are housebound and have difficulty attending the surgery. Roddy also has a keen interest in Endodontics (root canal treatments) and regularly attends courses throughout the UK to keep up to date on the latest techniques and provide these to his own patients Roddy’s calm nature means that his success with anxious patients is vast, gaining trust and respect, whilst always giving the best possible treatment and service. Roddy has been praised by his patients, not only for transforming their smiles, but also for his relaxed and informal approach, which will immediately put you at ease. He also provides Dental Acupuncture to aid and treat dental conditions including anxiety and gagging. Outside his professional life he has a passion for music and sports and can usually be found spending time with his two children .

Dr Ritesh Mody

Job Title:
Since qualifying from the University of Manchester in 2006 Ritesh has pursued an extensive postgraduate education and continually strives to provide truly exceptional dentistry. Following an initial year in dental practice he decided to go back to hospital, spending a year in the Oral and Maxillofacial surgery department in East Lancashire and in the Restorative dentistry department at Manchester Dental Hospital. Here he further developed his skills in oral surgery and all aspects of restorative dentistry (crowns, bridges, implants, root canal treatment). He also developed a keen interest in the management of jaw joint and muscle problems during this period and understands how frustrating this can be to those who suffer these symptoms, Ritesh is keen to manage these symptoms and improve patients quality of life through doing so. Jaw (Temporomandibular) joint problems are common but are often not treated correctly. Ritesh accepts referrals for temporomandibular joint related problems. Please contact the practice for further information. He joined the Aylestone House Team in 2008 and has since pursued his interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry by completing certificate courses between 2008 and 2010 in cosmetic and restorative dentistry in Central London. He also has an interest in cosmetic orthodontics and is a certified Inman aligner and Invisalign provider. More recently he has completed a post graduate degree in dental implants from Newcastle University (PG Cert Clinical Implant Dentistry, Newcastle 2013) and now provides dental implants here at Aylestone House utilizing the Straumann system. While dental implant placement is a minimally invasive procedure, many patients are fearful of undergoing the surgery. Ritesh realizes this and strives to make his patients as comfortable as possible with his expert diagnosis, precision in surgery, and calming chair side manner. He is currently in the process of undertaking a further degree in dental implants at the University of Central Lancashire. He enjoys building strong relationships with patients and their families, based on communication and trust, and He is passionate about providing them with ethical treatment of the highest standard. He is great with nervous patients and children and has a minimally invasive approach to dentistry. Educating his patients to prevent dental problems in the future is also of great importance to his care. Outside work Ritesh is a keen badminton player having represented England at various levels. He also enjoys travelling.
