After graduating from Birmingham Dental School, Nigel worked in General Practice in the West Midlands for five years before leaving to take a years sabbatical in Paris to study French Literature at the Sorbonne. On his return he moved to the Highlands to pursue his love of mountaineering, skiing and all things outdoors. Having owned a practice in Caithness for ten years followed by a spell working in the Western Isles he has now settled at Kingsmills Dental Practice we he took ownership of in 2008. His particular areas of interest are in the fields of restorative and cosmetic dentistry.

After graduation Anne spent a few years in a training practice near London before heading for the North West Territories of Canada. For five years she was a “flying dentist” serving remote Indian and Inuit settlements by landing on nearby lakes in a floatplane. On her return to Scotland she met her husband and they settled in Inverness.

“With a young family I looked for a part time job in a practice where prevention was a priority and I started at Kingsmills. Now, the practice has expanded allowing me to carry out family dentistry in a friendly, team environment. The Highlands has proved a wonderful home and, with the children now at secondary school, I can sometimes find time to pursue my interests of walking, cycling and curling”.

Born in Edinburgh, brought up in Dundee and attended Dundee University - Hazel is an out and out East-Coaster. Furthermore she first worked in general practice in Arbroath, trained in orthodontics in Aberdeen then practiced in Nairn before setting up Kingsmills Dental Practice with her husband, Richard Castro, in Inverness.

She has pursued her interest in orthodontics for both children and adults with a special emphasis on interceptive treatment to minimise future problems. Hazel has three children and, time permitting, she enjoys historical and contemporary dance, skiing and the outdoors generally, which includes helping with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme in Inverness’ Crown Group.

Miss Rosie Kelly

Biography:
Hygienist EDH (Edinburgh 1992) Educated in Nairn and deciding on a career in Dentistry she worked in an Inverness practice as a Dental Nurse before moving to Edinburgh to study Dental Hygiene at Edinburgh Dental School. After qualifying Rosie decided to stay in Edinburgh working as a hygienist in general practice for 13 years before returning north again to live and 5 years ago joined Kingsmills Dental Practice. Rosie enjoys motivating and educating patients in the prevention of dental disease and improving their general oral health.
