John Gilleece the practice principal qualified from QUB in 1969. He opened his first dental practice in 1971 and continued to run and build up a very successful practice for over 30 years, now after taking a career break he has opened a new practice. Dental Nurse Hilary Wilson joined the first practice in 1972 as a chair-side assistant, in 2002 she passed her National dental nursing examination and has since passed post qualifications in Oral Health and Conscious Sedation. Both are GDC registered

One of Ian's particular interests is the provision of an orthopaedic approach to his orthodontic treatment, trying where possible to avoid extracting healthy teeth, and instead developing the jaws to accomodate the teeth nature intended. He has a particular interest in treating Skeletal Class 3 cases without the need for surgery, and has had many successful instances of this type of treatment. So if you have been told surgery is your only option, that may not be the case, and the younger this type of treatment is started, the better the outcome.
