Dentistry

Invisalign™

Invisalign® treatment uses a series of removable clear aligners. These custom aligners gradually shift teeth into the desired position. It’s an aesthetic and comfortable option for those who need an orthodontic treatment, but do not want noticeable braces.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding, is a good solution for minor imperfections that do not require extensive intervention. Chips, cracks, stains, and gaps are some examples of concerns that can easily be addressed with cosmetic dental bonding.

Dental Bridges

Fixed Bridge

A multiple tooth-supported fixed bridge is a traditional tooth replacement option. Problems of decay, root canal infections, periodontal bone loss and bone atrophy can worsen the situation because there are more teeth involved. Unfortunately, larger bridges fail faster than single tooth bridges.

Dental Checkup

New Patient Dental Examination

A dental exam is the process of assessing an athlete's oral health through a comprehensive examination of the soft and hard tissues. This procedure can help identify any asymptomatic dental problems and monitor any treatment they may be receiving. It's not uncommon for dentists to recognize symptoms of anorexia and bulimia through a dental examination. These patients need to be referred to the appropriate medical and psychological health professional.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are used for both restorative and cosmetic dentistry. While a crown can be used to cover a damaged tooth for preventative measures, it is now commonly used to improve the aesthetic of a tooth. The crown can be customized to match the color of surrounding teeth, and they can add length to a tooth to make it more proportional if desired.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are used for patients who are missing one or multiple teeth and want to fill the gap permanently to regain functionality. The implant is the colour of teeth, so it blends in naturally with the rest of the teeth.

Dental X-Ray

Our paediatric specialists at Dental One use digital X-rays to closely examine your child’s mouth and quickly diagnose any developing problems before they can cause significant damage. Digital x-ray technology greatly reduces the amount of radiation needed; a day at the beach may project more radiation than a dental digirtal x-ray.

Dentures

Removable Partial Dentures

A removable partial denture uses clasps to grab onto adjacent, healthy teeth to hold the denture in place. The clasps, which are designed to fit tightly onto the healthy teeth, put pressure on the underlying gums and natural teeth they hook onto. This weakens the jawbone and loosens the supporting teeth, which often leads to additional tooth loss.

DSD - Digital Smile Design

The dentists at Dental One also work within a clean and safe environment, with rigorous desinfection and sterilisation processes. Our team at Dental One go to extremes to make sure our patients are as comfortable as can be. We provide amenities and services to make you feel at home and cared for while you’re in our office. There is no age requirement for dental attention, we provide services for everyone in the family; from the babies all the way up to our beloved seniors. Our treatments planificactions are geared towards enhancing the cosmetic appearance of the teeth, supporting tissues and smile, but always keeping functionality as a main goal. At your dental consultation, our highly trained team will do a comprehensive exam. This includes discussion about your past dental history and present concerns.

Root Canal Consultation

Extractions

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Generally, a local anaesthetic is given to make the procedure more comfortable, but sometimes sedation with an anaesthesiologist is used in order for the patient be “deeply asleep”. As all procedures, post extraction instructions must be followed since there is a slight chance of infection, tenderness, prolonged bleeding, dry socket and loosening of neighbouring teeth or their fillings or crowns.

Teeth Cleaning

A cleaning goes above and beyond the capabilities of simple brushing and flossing. Cleaning begins by using special instruments to remove plaque and tartar from all the surfaces of your teeth. The team at Dental One then floss between your teeth to clean surfaces that cannot be reached by our instruments. Polishing, which takes place near the end of your appointment, will create a smooth, clean finish. Having your teeth cleaned is frequently painless and non-invasive. Anaesthesia is usually not required, and the entire process can be performed relatively quickly based on the amount of plaque build-up involved. In some cases with severe accumulation of calculus and plaque, a second session may be required. A dental cleaning is also the perfect time for your dentist to check for signs of cavities, gum disease or other issues that could be impacting your health. In addition to preventing tooth decay and other oral issues, additional benefits of getting your teeth cleaned include gaining a brighter smile. This is because routine cleanings may remove stains that discolour your teeth. Cleanings can also remove some food particles that contribute to bad breath. Some people are concerned that dental cleanings will damage the enamel, or the thin outer covering of the tooth; even though the enamel is thin, your teeth cleaning and/or whitening cannot break down the enamel with simple dental tools.

Teeth Whitening

With in-office whitening we can whiten your teeth in one convenient session. Also, we offer tray-suited dental whitening that is done gradually at home, but with the dentist’s supervision. Both are functional and effective.

Veneers

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers can be used to cover chipped, misformed, stained or discoloured teeth; also can be used to close gaps and even fix mildly crooked teeth.
