About Swords Dental

Like everyone else, we are aware of the current financial climate. Patients covered by PRSI are entitled to a free examination every year, and we encourage people. There is a tax refund of 20% available for advanced dental treatments, including gum treatment visits to the hygienist, which we will organise for you. Finally, we can offer further discounts on multiple treatments as well as flexible payment options for advanced work.

Our practice is equipped with the latest, state of the art dental technology available. Our digitalised x-ray system significantly reduces our patients' exposure to radiation; and along with our OPG machine, which provides a full-mouth, comprehensive x-ray, we are able to diagnose patients more quickly and accurately than ever before.

Of course, disease prevention is extremely important to us, and we place an emphasis on good oral hygiene and dietary habits to help stop tooth decay before it becomes a problem. Your oral health is our top priority, and so we make sure to perform an oral cancer screening on all of our patients during every exam. Gum health and proper care should be a real priority for everyone, and dental hygienist Paula Cavanagh looks after our patients with care and expertise.

It's amazing how many people refuse to smile or cover their mouths in photos. Cosmetic dental treatment is something people are becoming more and more interested in. Options such as tooth whitening, veneers, crowns and bridgework have helped to restore people's confidence, both in themselves and in their appearance; even using white fillings instead of metallic as a standard procedure has been a great advance in modern dentistry. Other procedures, like root canal treatment, allow us to save teeth that would previously have to be extracted.

Excellent, clean, comfortable surroundings.

Dental Bridges, Root Canals

Dental bridges, root canals.

Been a patient since 2007, had major work with a five-tooth bridge which was great, even done repairs out of warranty and did not charge. Recently, had root canal and very professional and good on price. Can't recommend Lynsey McTavish highly enough. I travel from Rathfarnham as I wouldn't go anywhere else! Excellent, clean, comfortable surroundings, free parking, friendly professional staff. Will always go back as I could not find such a great service anywhere else and wouldn't even consider it.

Very pleasant experience considering they pulled a tooth out of my face. The dentist was a Scottish woman named Lyndsey (I think). She made me feel at ease and performed a tooth extraction with virtually no pain. Kudos to all involved
