PFM Crown (40 mins, 2 sessions)

PFM Crown - DentiCaredublin

1.Does it look natural?

Yes, impressions are taken on the day of your visit and sent out to a dental laboratory. Along with a shape, size and colour  code to match your other teeth perfectly.

2.How should I take care of my crown?

Avoid chewing on hard foods or ice. Also avoid teeth grinding.

3.How long does it take to get a crown?

Initially, we will remove decay, prepare the tooth to the ideal shape for the crown, and fit it with a temporary crown made of a plastic material. The amount of the tooth removed will be the same as the thickness of the crown. Once the tooth is shaped, the dentist will take an impression (mould) of the prepared tooth, one of the opposite jaw and possibly another to mark the way you bite together.

The impressions will then be given to the dental technician, along with an appropriate shade and other information needed for the crown to be made. On your next visit we take off the temporary crown and fit the final crown, cementing it into place so you have a new, beautiful-looking tooth.

4.What is a crown made of?

New materials are constantly being introduced as dental technology advances.  Here are some popular choices: Porcelain bonded to precious (or non-precious) metal. This is what most crowns are made from. A metal base is made and then porcelain is applied in layers over it.

Single Implant (1 hour, 2 sessions)

Single Implant - DentiCaredublin

Dental implants are permanent tooth replacement solutions. The implant itself is typically titanium based. This is due to the inability of titanium to corrode, even after years of use.

The implant will be surgically inserted into the jaw and it will act as a replacement root for a prosthetic tooth, or crown. Implants are considered to be stable. They are the ideal solution for patients who do not want to cause damage to the structural integrity of healthy teeth surrounding the empty space on the gum. This is often seen when fixed bridges are used to replace several missing teeth. Implant supported dentures rely on implants to provide a sturdy base for the prosthetic teeth.

Once the implant, or artificial root, has been implanted, the bone in your jaw will begin the process of fusing to the titanium. The healing phase typically lasts several months. During this time your bone will be continually fusing to the artificial root.

Once the bone has successfully fused to the implant, it’ll be ready to have a permanent crown. Once the crown is in place the new tooth will look wholly natural.

Digital Panoramic Dental X-Ray (5 mins)

Digital Panoramic Dental X-Ray - DentiCaredublin

Why dental X-rays are performed

Dental X-rays are typically performed yearly. They can happen more often if your dentist is tracking the progress of a dental problem or treatment.

Factors affecting how often you get dental X-rays may include:

  • your age
  • your current oral health
  • any symptoms of oral disease
  • a history of gum infection or tooth decay

If you

’re a new patient, you

ll probably undergo dental X-rays so that your new dentist can get a clear picture of your dental health. This is especially important if you don

t have any X-rays from your previous dentist.

White Filling (45 mins)

White Filling - DentiCaredublin

1.What is a Dental Filling?

Is way to restore a tooth by removing the decay and cleaning the affected area. The cleaned out cavity will then be filled.

2.How do I know if I need a filling?

Your dentist can advise you if you have a cavity that needs to be filled.

3.How will I feel afterwards?

Some people feel sensitivity after they get a filling. Tooth may be sensitive to pressure, air and temperature. This usually lasts only for a few days.

4.What happens if you don’t treat a cavity?

With time these harmful bacteria will create a little hole in the tooth, if it’s not repaired with a filling in time, the cavity will simply continue to grow. Overtime it becomes painful in which case a Root Canal Treatment is needed to save the tooth.

5.How much does a dental filling cost?

Filling prices vary due to a few factors:

  • depends on which teeth needs to be filled

  • depends on how deep the teeth decay is?

Inlay or Onlay

Inlay or Onlay - DentiCaredublin

1.What is the difference between inlay and onlay?

Inlay is used to repair the surface of teeth, they are used after a decay within the cusps of your teeth(the part that you chew with).

Onlay treats larger area than an inlay. Onlay covers the entire biting surface of the teeth.

2.What are the benefits of inlay/onlay?

They restore a tooth to its natural size, shape and colour. They also improve the strength, function and appearance of a broken tooth before further decay happens.

Root Canals (40 mins, 3 sessions)

Root Canals - DentiCaredublin
Our dentists can perform root canal treatment to stop the infection from spreading and will preserve as much of your tooth as possible. Using specific techniques and advanced equipment, you will receive a local anaesthetic and the treatment overall should feel no different to having an ordinary filling placed. The aim of the treatment is to remove all infection from the root canal. The root is then cleaned and filled to prevent any further infection. A temporary filling is put in and the tooth is left to settle.

The tooth is checked at a later visit and when all the infection has cleared, the tooth is permanently filled. Root canal treatment is a skilled and time-consuming procedure and most courses of treatment will involve two or more visits.

To keep your mouth in tip top shape we recommend you come in for regular hygiene appointments and dental check-ups.

  • Is it painful?

Today root canal treatment is as comfortable as getting a filling. With advanced local anaesthesia options and techniques it shouldn’t be painful.  Although pain can be experienced, this is because of the infection in the tooth. Pain isn’t caused by the root canal treatment.

  • I’m not feeling any pain, so I don’t need a root canal treatment.

Your dentist will see and advise you if the pulp of your teeth is damaged or infected. If this is the case you will need root canal treatment. You may end up with the teeth needed to be extracted.

Teeth Cleaning with PRSI Free (45 mins)

Teeth Cleaning with PRSI Free - DentiCaredublin
Your teeth are continually bathed in saliva which contains calcium and other substances which help strengthen and protect the teeth. While this is a good thing, it also means that we tend to get a build-up on the teeth over time. If the tartar is allowed to accumulate on the teeth it will unfortunately provide the right conditions for bacteria to thrive next to the gums. If plaque is allowed to build up, the bacteria in it can cause gum disease, making your gum bleed, sore and infected.

The purpose of the cleaning and polishing is to leave the surfaces of the teeth clean and smooth so that bacteria are unable to stick to them and you have a better chance of keeping the teeth clean during your regular home care.

What is a dental hygienic cleaning?

Dental hygienic cleaning removes tartar (mineralized plaque) that may develop even with careful brushing and flossing, especially in areas that are difficult to reach in routine tooth brushing. The treatment includes tooth scaling and tooth polishing and debridement if too much tartar has accumulated. This involves the use of various instruments or devices to loosen and remove deposits from the teeth.

Does it hurt to have your teeth cleaned?

Most people find that cleanings are painless and feeling some tickling vibrations, the cooling mist of water, and the feeling of pressure during “scraping” – do not cause discomfort. A lot of patients even report that they enjoy cleanings and the lovely smooth feel of their teeth afterwards.

How long does the treatment take?

This treatment takes approximately. 20-30 minutes.PRSI Treatment Free no additional cost

Teeth Whitening (1 hour)

Teeth Whitening - DentiCaredublin

Laser Teeth Whitening is the most usual method of tooth whitening. Your dentist will be able to tell you if you are suitable for the treatment.

Using a mouthpiece all of your teeth would be exposed to make it easier for the gel and light to work. After this a whitening gel will be applied to your teeth. Then a light or laser is shone on the teeth to activate the chemical. The light speeds up the reaction of the whitening product and the colour change can be achieved more quickly.

Anti-Wrinkle Treatment (20 mins)

Anti-Wrinkle Treatment - DentiCaredublin

Anti-wrinkle are one of the most effective minimally invasive ways to reduce fine lines and wrinkles on the upper face, specifically the areas of the forehead, brow and crows feet.

Wrinkle treatments temporarily relax the muscles of the upper face that create wrinkles, causing them to relax and smooth out. It also works in a preventative way by preventing the long-term formation of deep static wrinkles, which are difficult to treat.

Dr Nikolett Nardai has built her reputation on achieving natural looking results, through his ability to read the patients face and treat using the art of incremental tweaks.

Results so subtle that nobody will put their finger on why you look so good!
