A wide range of dental procedures are performed at this clinic for anxious patients who require sedation. The clinic is located at Edmonton in Alberta. Referrals are accepted from dentists for patients requiring sedation dentistry. Treatments are performed under general anaesthetic and under IV sedation. Patients of all ages are treated at the clinic. Services offered at the clinic are children’s dentistry, oral surgery including the extraction of wisdom teeth, general restorative procedures, root canal procedures, bone grafting, gum surgery and the surgical placement of dental implants to replace missing teeth.

Kirk was born in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1960. After completing High School, he enrolled in Aviation Technology at Selkirk College, in Castlegar, British Columbia. He then worked as a commercial pilot from 1979 until 1984 in Northern Canada. Dr. Chambers graduated from the University of Alberta with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1989, receiving the Alberta Dental Association gold medal award for the top-graduate student. Following a one-year General Practice Residency at the University of Alberta Hospitals, Dr. Chambers operated a fly in dental practice serving remote communities in Northern Alberta.
As part of this service, he provided dental treatment under General Anesthesia for children at the High Level Hospital. He also provided dental extractions under IV Sedation to several dental offices in Northern Alberta. In 1997, Dr. Chambers took over the general anesthetic practice of Dr. Kay Burnham. In 2000, the practice was moved to its current location and renamed Dental Surgery Group.
Dr. Jickling was born in Oyen, Alberta in 1975 where he lived until leaving High School. His post secondary education began at Grande Prairie Regional College where he completed his first two years of basic sciences. He then moved to Edmonton to complete his degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Alberta. In 1997, he opted to further his education and entered dental school, graduating in 2001.
Dr. Jickling practiced in Manning and Peace River, Alberta for two years before moving to Edmonton and joining Dental Surgery Group.
Kurt was born, raised and attended High School in Maidstone, Saskatchewan. Following this, he left for the lower mainland and attended Trinity Western University in Langley, B.C. In 1996, he graduated with a degree in Biology and began dental school that same year at the University of Alberta. During this time, Kurt had opportunities to deliver dental care in rural Haiti and Nicaragua to people otherwise without medical access.
After graduation in 2001, Kurt practiced his first year is Edson, Alberta before returning to the city. In Edmonton, he joined a general family practice for three years as well as being actively involved on the board of the Edmonton and District Dental Society. For the past two years he has been volunteering occasional weekends for the SHINE Dental Clinics, operating out of the Boyle McCauley Health Clinic to provide dental care to the working poor in the inner city.
