Braces
An Orthodontic practice works in close association with us, providing orthodontic care for children and adults.

Dental Bonding

Dental Bridges
A bridge can be use to replace one or more missing teeth. A bridge fits over the teeth on either side of the gap that serve as anchors for the replacement tooth.

Dental Crowns
Crowns are an ideal restoration for teeth that have significantly broken or been weakened by decay or a large filling. A crown fits over the remaining part of the tooth, providing strength, shape, and colour of a natural tooth.

Dental Implants
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are inserted into the jawbone to replace missing natural teeth. Implants and their attached crowns closely mimic the look and function of real teeth. They can make an attractive alternative to dentures and bridges. Dental implant techniques can replace one or several missing teeth. In some cases, an entire set of artificial teeth can be carried on dental implants. The overall implant process can take considerable time. The procedure can take from three to six months or more from surgical placement of the implant to the fitting of the crown. This depends on factors such as your general and dental health, the amount of bone, rate of healing, degree of integration between the implant and the bone, and the extent of any other dental problems. Depending on the complexity of the operation, each of the procedures can take from 30 minutes to several hours.

Dentures

Removable Partial Dentures
A removable denture can be constructed to replace several missing teeth. Dentures can be constructed in plastic or metal frames with retaining clasps to help to keep dentures in place.

Extractions

Wisdom Tooth Extraction
Wisdom teeth also known as third molars are the last teeth to erupt. Wisdom teeth may become a problem for you as they grow and develop in each corner of your mouth. Problems often develop gradually and can cause sudden and severe pain.

Hygienist Session

Periodontitis Treatment
Periodontal treatment involves the definitive removal of calculus on tooth and root surfaces and precise oral hygiene instruction including brushing technique and frequency as well as cleaning between teeth. This treatment is provided by our team of experienced dental hygienists. On occasions referral to a specialist periodontist will be necessary. Quitting smoking is highly recommended. Smoking increases the risk of gum disease and reduces the chances of successful treatment.

Root canals
A local anaesthetic will usually be given to block pain. A thin sheet of latex, called rubber dam is used to isolate the tooth and keep it clean and dry during treatment. Each root canal is cleaned, enlarged and shaped. Anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial medicines are placed inside the root canal to help stop the inflammation and infection. If a severe abscess has formed at the root tip, oral antibiotic may be needed to help treat the infection. You may need several visits to complete the treatment.

Sedation for dental treatments
Fear can be overcome in many ways, including counselling, oral sedation before treatment, intravenous sedation or even a general anaesthetic. Both the dentist and patient will decide together on the best option, depending on the type of treatment required and the level of anxiety. A sedated or anaesthetised patient is always under the care of a team member and is never left alone. The patient's breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, heart rhythms and the amount of oxygen in the blood are usually monitored and recorded. This adds to the safety of the procedure.

Teeth Whitening

Home Whitening Kits
Take-home whitening is performed at home under our indirect supervision. The whitening gel is dispensed into custom-fitted whitening trays and are worn overnight or during the day at home. The take-home whitening can take from one to three weeks to achieve maximum results.

Zoom! Teeth Whitening
The procedure is simple. It begins with a short preparation to cover your lips and gums, leaving only your teeth exposed. The Zoom whitening gel is applied and is activated by the Zoom light. The whitening gel and light work together to gently penetrate your teeth, breaking up the stains and discoloration. The Zoom whitening gel is applied for 3 fifteen-minute sessions.
