Once I booked with my coordinator, they provided some documents related with the operations that I was going to have. It is called guideline and it is really helpful for the things that you would like to learn both before and after about procedure. Once I followed the instruction sheet I learnt a lot of useful information about the operation. I went to airport and landed safely to Turkey as soon as I stepped out from the airport their car arrived to pick me up. I have been transferred to the hotel for resting. Next day I woke up early and I went to hospital with the driver again. Nurses took some blood sample and I had my chest xray along with EKG afterwards I did have my consultation with the surgeon. That is really important because consultation plays a crucial role on your operation. Make sure ask everything, surgeon draws lines on your body and tells about the operation and answers your questions as well. Afterwards I had my operation but obviously, I do not remember anything about it. Once I woke up in hospital, I called my family and friends to tell them that I am safe. I couldn't not stay awake much and I wanted to sleep as I feeling sleepy already. I remember that nurses came in to my room once in every hour to check if I am okay or not. Next day early in the morning my doctor showed up again and evaluated my post operation status. He told me that everything was good and I will be discharded in few hours. Nurses and caregivers helped me to get out and my driver again picked me up from the hospital. And I went to hotel. Next days were same because I was recovering and having my massages. I have been suffering from my reduced vision. That is to say that I had to wear contact lenses and glasses for approximately six years. I finally decided to do the Eye surgery in Turkey for a perfect price, also a very excellent treatment done by both the surgeon and his assistants! I have done the so-called " PRK / Lasek" surgery since the surgeon decided upon doing it because of my thin cornea. As noticed the results went absolutely fine and you could pretty much rely upon the treatment. I felt sure that the doctors are most familiar with the procedures and everything they do. Excellent. I have received eye drops after I have done my post controls. I have been in the hospital for a few times for a recheck up for my eyes and their development after the surgery. I was guided by Emre Altin. A very kind, helpful gentleman who did his best to satisfy me and help me with the translations since I don't speak Turkish. I also got highly recommended by others and wanted to have a visit to Istanbul to do the surgery. I got pleased with the services and recommendations. They were really prompt to help me. Though my eye is not 100% healed yet It will probably get better by these three months as the doctor advised me to use the eye drops.
