Breast Augmentation
The Breast is usually performed under general anesthesia in some cases under local anesthesia and sedation-and involves making a small incision, depending on patient anatomy and preferences of your plastic surgeon, around the areola, in the groove under the breast or armpit. Then the prosthesis directly under the breast tissue or under the chest muscle is placed. A drain will be removed in a few days and a dressing or bandage is placed over the breasts. The procedure takes between 1 and 2 hours. The incision is designed so that the scar is almost imperceptible.
