Dr. Mark Steinmann, MBBCh (Wits), FC Plast Surg (SA) completed his training at the University of the Witwatersrand and obtained his fellowship from the College of Plastic Surgeons of South Africa. After his training, Dr. Steinmann completed a year Mentorship with Dr. Saul Braun, one of South Africa's most prominent plastic surgeons. Dr. Mark has published and presented several clinical papers at local and international congresses and has received numerous awards during his training for research and clinical trials performed at academic hospitals in South Africa such as the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. Dr. Mark was actively involved with the Nelson Mandela Smile Foundation and was part of a team that helped many patients with facial deformities. Dr. Mark spent almost 3 years working in the United Kingdom in various disciplines including Accident and Emergency, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and General Surgery. Committed to patient privacy and confidentiality, Dr. Mark will thoroughly consult with you, a process that takes about an hour. Dr. Mark firmly believes in complete and holistic treatment of all his patients and will endeavor to manage your problem or concerns with other health care professionals if necessary.
