Was born in Zagreb where he attended high school and college. After graduating from Medical school he specialized in ENT at Merkur hospital in Zagreb. He passed his specialist exam in 1976 and worked in Libya (Misurata), through technical aid, as chief of ENT department from 1978 to 1979. He was granted the title primarius in 1987. Until 1991 he worked at the ENT department at Merkur hospital after which he opened his own private practice under the name Estetic Surgery and Otolaryngology Office.
