My whole life, I’ve had very small, underdeveloped breasts (A cup). However, during my first pregnancy at age 28, I went up to a B cup and then, while breastfeeding, up to a C cup. It was a big transformation for me, but it was quite upsetting when my breasts deflated once I stopped breastfeeding. When I got pregnant a second time at age 30, my breasts again grew significantly larger, especially during breastfeeding (up to a D cup) but once again they shrank down afterwards. The only difference was that they were now smaller than they had ever been before: a measly AA cup. Worse, rather than being perky, they were now completely deflated and saggy, even the nipples sagged.
Although I’d contemplated breast augmentation surgery in the past, I never really considered it seriously until I came to the realization that my breasts would never naturally improve at this point, and would likely get worse over time. By age 33, I knew I didn’t want to have any more children so I figured it was a good time to get the breast augmentation surgery done, once and for all… once I’d made the decision, I knew I should try to get it done as soon as possible. I realized it wasn’t something I wanted, it was something I needed. It wasn’t just to make myself look/feel better but it was to fix an actual, serious physical problem/deformity that was greatly affecting my self-confidence, especially after having experienced larger breasts while breast-feeding in recent years.
Being resident in Zagreb, I researched all the local clinics and Dr. Tončić was recommended by a friend. When I visited the clinic, Dr Dinko was very professional and he answered all of my questions, which really helped to put my mind at ease. All of his staff were very welcoming, friendly and kind. Originally, I was planning to get teardrop shaped implants under the muscle via an incision in the armpit, but he explained all of the reasons why this was not a good idea and, after reviewing all the specifics of my case, he suggested that I get 325cc high profile round implants over the muscle via an incision under the nipple. I have a naturally wide chest with wide-spaced nipples so I wanted a natural result that would look good for my body frame.
On the day of the surgery, I was very nervous about having general anaesthesia and any potential complications, but the staff were all very comforting and they really made me feel safe and relaxed. I woke up from the anaesthesia extremely groggy and sore, and the next few days I was on bed rest but, overall, the level of discomfort wasn’t too bad all things considered.
Ultimately, I’m very happy with the end result… my breasts are now full again and look naturally proportionate to my body: not huge and fake, but definitely ample. My only regret is not getting it done sooner/earlier in life, but I highly recommend Dr Dinko Tončić to anyone who is in Zagreb.
