After much research, I chose Tim Brown For my surgery. Tim explained everything to me in depth, was honest and wanted to make sure all my questions were answered.I had a facelift, brow lift, fat grafts in my cheeks, lip lift. Mr Julian Liew is the ultimate professional. I recently had some skin lesions removed and Mr Julian Liew took great care to ensure minimal scarring. Dr Liew’s specialty is in Plastic Reconstructive Surgery, including having completed a fellowship at the renowned East Grinstead Queen Victoria Hospital, in the UK.  With its history in providing innovative life-changing reconstructive surgery and wholistic patient care Dr Liew has embraced these elements of surgical skill and a wholistic patient care throughout the patient surgical journey in his Melbourne Surgical Practice.   For Breast Reduction Dr Liew offers several techniques for this procedure, but the most commonly used is the inferior pedicle technique. This involves the surgeon moving the nipple to a higher position on the breast, but not removing it completely from its adjoined tissue. On rare occasions a nipple grafting technique may be used.The lower portion of the breast is cut open along the base of the breast and an amount of tissue is removed from the base and mid-section of each breast using dissection.Once the excess tissue is removed the two sides of the incision are joined to form the base of the new breast. The incision is closed with internal dissolving sutures to complete the surgery.Dr Liew is a Plastic Reconstructive Surgeon, so all of our patients have the procedure performed as an inpatient in a registered hospital under general anaesthetic.  Patients remain in hospital for one to two days.  Most patients are discharged home without drains which are removed during their inpatient stay. Recovery time is about 3-4 weeks.
