The pre-op examination and was very thorough with his explanation and what he was going to do

4.5 50 Varicose Veins Treatment • Paid: $8000

I went in for varicose veins to be removed in my right leg. They were a mess. It was something I was going to do years ago but you always make excuses to put things off or there is something more important to do. It was when some-one commented how bad they looked that made me do some thing about it.

I only had it done 6 days ago but not taking any pain killers or pills of any sort, the only bit of pain but to look at them even now is totally different.

I looked up on the internet and this clinic seemed to have everything in close proximity to where we lived and for their own operation. The doctor was more than very good, Dr Gordon sat us down, explained everything that needed to be explained, done the pre-op examination and was very thorough with his explanation and what he was going to do.

A nice fella with an excellent staff and follow up the team. Big thanks to him and his staff.

I can't speak more highly of his professionalism and the explanatory procedure he carried out

4.5 50 Varicose Veins Treatment

After having both legs stripped of Varicose veins by Malcolm Gordon. I can't speak more highly of his professionalism and the explanatory procedure he carried out, from the install consultation/surgery to the final follow up.

The final result has no visible veins to be seen and amazingly not a mark on the skin where they were removed from.

After my experience, I would definitely recommend Malcolm to any persons considering vein treatment. With also due to mention of the excellent treatment received at Southern Cross Hospital.

The whole experience from initial consultation, to surgery and follow up have been so smooth

4.5 50 Varicose Veins Treatment

I had my varicose veins stripped about 33 years ago. My legs have been bad over the last couple of years and I had intended to seek treatment for them. We are travelling overseas and was concerned about deep vein thrombosis so spoke to my doctor. He recommended Mr Malcolm and a work colleague had also had good results from his surgery.

Mr Malcom used the laser on my right leg and injected my left leg.
I am about to travel and I am thrilled with results . Initially they were swollen and very dark but already the legs look amazing compared to a couple of months ago. I don't feel that pressure in my tired aching legs anymore.
The whole experience from initial consultation , to surgery and follow up have been so smooth.
Mr Malcolm is very calm and reassuring. A special mention to his very friendly nurse during the procedure and also to Marie his Secretary. What gems !

Great improvement

4.5 50 Varicose Veins Treatment

For years, I suffered aching legs, due to my job as a nurse, where I spend many hours standing.
I decided to contact Malcolm Gordon, as many of my colleagues were speaking highly of him. My varicose veins were lasered, and I notice great improvement within a few months after the treatment.

The whole experience went very smoothly, from the time I first rang to make an appointment to my last follow up. Malcolm Gordon and his team were all great.
I would recommend Malcolm Gordon to anyone needing varicose veins treatment.

Confidence to wear skirts again

5 50 Varicose Veins Treatment • Paid: $300

As a nurse I have extremely high expectations of health providers and Malcolm Gordon and his team were faultless! I was informed of my options for treatment and felt really cared for during my procedure. I didn't think it was possible to get such a perfect result from my legs as they have had a hard life coupled with my family history but because Mr Gordon is so experienced and really mindful of patients needs he not only made my feel better but they look good and there's not any evidence of intervention. This has given me enough confidence to wear shorts and skirts again. I had laser to both legs plus some horrible big varicose veins removed under local anaesthetic. I followed their instructions for healing which included regular walks and compression stockings. I wish I'd gone to him earlier actually and I have sent a lot of my colleagues to Malcolm and they have all had the same great outcome.

The clinic is not only nice, private and comfortable but it's clean! Sterility is essential to me as a nurse and I was very happy with their practices. Parking is easy, the staff were totally focused on me and naturally kind and friendly which is just what you want as a patient. They also handled all my insurance paperwork so I didn't have to do a thing-made the whole process easy and stress free as I I hate all that pre-approval and insurance paperwork. I'd go back in the future if I ever needed and I happily recommend my friends, family and colleagues go see Mr Gordon

Removal of large varicose vein from leg

5 50 Varicose Veins Treatment • Paid: $6000

I went in wanting laser or something less invasive but after an informative consultation I discovered surgery was my only option. Mr Gordon gave me all the information I needed to satisfy both myself and my insurer. The surgery was easy - lovely hospital and nice to get away over night. At no stage was I unable to walk, and the pain, although there, was not debilitating. Pain killers were the only drugs required. The insurer was satisfied with the procedure and payment was duly made. I could not be happier with the results.

Mr Gordon was very professional and put me at ease in all situations. I felt I was in great hands. The staff at Southern Cross Hospital were wonderful. I would recommend Christchurch Vein Clinic to all. Do not be put off by the thought of the compression stockings or surgery. You are highly mobile the day following the surgery. The pain is easily bearable. It is nice to have an excuse to put your feet up. I did the mud sweat and tears race 18 days after my surgery!

Varicose veins stripped

5 50 Varicose Veins Treatment

I had my varicose veins stripped in hospital by Mr Gordon because they ached, my legs swelled when standing and sitting for long periods and in the heat and they also didn't look that good. I was so pleased afterwards coz I lost the pain and I wasn't always hunting down a seat. I enjoyed wearing shorts again and going for runs. Definitely good value.

I chose this surgeon because a friend shared her experience with me and also Mr Gordon seemed to have such a variety of treatments for varicose veins. Because he is a vascular surgeon I thought he must surely know what he was doing. He was very informative and gave me the impression he knew what he was doing by explaining in easy terms what and why he thought the decided line of treatment would be best. He is also recommended by Southern Cross Insurance.
