Not just down to your brilliance as an Aesthetic Doctor but Supreme Customer Service

5 50 Medical Aesthetics Specialist Consultation • Paid: €50

I went to The Ailesbury Clinic after being disappointed by another high profile clinic for a sagging neckline issue. I was amazed at the first FREE consultation with a lovely registered nurse Rebecca that although I wasn't a suitable candidate for Elexis, they are so honest not money grabbers she actually brought me through to the lovely Patrick himself! he assessed me and gave me hope. Then COVID! I got a call from Ailesbury after that and went in again to see if threads would work. Elexis would have been an option with threads but I have a titanium implant in my shoulder so that ruled that out. Patrick again came in he's just so kind and genius with his time and discussed with Dr.Kielty on other options I've never seen such effort put in. When Patrick even went to dig out an older version called Polaris there was no consent form - No stopping him there .....he called me into his office and gave me the number of a specialist in this area who does Not Advertise...he turned down money said no point if it wasn't going to give me the results I wanted. This is rare in society now. I had 2 visits the staff were wonderful (thanks Marie also) and I will go back in a heartbeat as there are no gimmicks, videos or brochures promising the sun, moon and stars and would recommend them to anyone. Another fantastic surprise despite the prestige I was also amazed that the prices were within anyone's reach and some "Skin Clinics" ask more. Thanks again Patrick hope to see you and your wonderful team can see why they love working with you! I can see how much you really care and your success is not just down to your brilliance as an Aesthetic Doctor but Supreme Customer Service. I have to supply a price paid I will emphasise I paid just my expenses getting to the clinic

The staff were well presented, friendly and polite and the premises were lovely

3 50 Paid: €300

I am 8 days post-treatment for Active Fx laser resurfacing on my upper lip. The treatment itself took less than a minute, the swelling and skin shedding process was complete within 5 days. However, my upper lip is bright red, constantly tingling and very itchy but I am aware that it is still quite early in the healing phase.

On the day of the treatment, a staff member applied numbing cream on my upper lip, chin and sides of my mouth despite my telling her I was only having my upper lip treated. It later transpired I should not have had this cream applied as the doctor generally gives a nerve block injection when treating the upper lip.

I initially contacted the clinic in Cork to inquire about the cost of Active FX laser resurfacing on my upper lip. The phone number listed was incorrect and it took me some time to find a correct number. The person I spoke with was unable to help me but assured me she would get back to me. It was a full week before anyone called me back.

Despite advertising a free initial consultation, I was told the consultation would cost €100 but I was given the option of foregoing it, which I did. Upon meeting the doctor, I felt somewhat underwhelmed when the nurse asked whether he wanted the numbing cream removed with a wet or dry wipe and he told her to hold off for a minute because he didn't even know what treatment I was having.

He asked if he had met me before as he couldn't find my details. I told him we hadn't previously met and he said he doesn't usually do laser resurfacing without a consultation. He then asked if I had been given a price for the procedure but made no comment after I told him what I had been quoted. This left me feeling somewhat embarrassed as I was unsure as to whether or not I was paying the correct cost.

Despite the various glitches I found Dr Treacy to be friendly, soft-spoken, polite and he patiently answered all my questions. The staff were well presented, friendly and polite and the premises were lovely. However, I feel the general customer service/information provided could be improved on.

The doctors here did more for me than others have done over the years

Dermatologist Consultation

My friend told me Dr Treacy was excellent, so I had my treatment with him. I was quoted at the appointment and they told me I could return if there were any issues after treatment.

They were really professional and the doctors here did more for me than others have done over the years. I’ve been to them a few times, but I’m very happy. It was a good value.

I was treated by a very nice person, it was painless

Dermal Fillers

I chose this clinic because they got back to me and I didn’t feel pressured to have unnecessary work done. I had dermal fillers injected, and I’d say the treatment was good for what it was, but I don’t think I was clear enough about what I wanted. I’d been for this treatment at a different clinic before, and their dermal fillers got rid of the fine lines around my mouth, whereas this treatment focused on the marionette lines (and they weren’t really a problem).

The clinic was a bit difficult to locate, but this was the only issue. I paid the same price they quoted me before the time. I was treated by a very nice person - it was painless. There were absolutely no side effects.

My experience was very good

5 50 Dermatologist Consultation • Paid: €100

I have a severe skin allergy and went to this clinic after recommendations online. I realised when I got there, that's it's more of a cosmetic clinic, but Dr Treacy was very helpful and informative. I've recently become allergic to a chemical which is in most footwear worldwide, and in all types of plastic and rubber. It's been life changing and very stressful, as I can't always tell whether something I'm touching is hazardous to me. I find out within minutes if it is, as my skin rashes up quickly, and if I don't remove this immediately, my skin starts to blister and die. So I needed to know as much as possible about my condition, as the stress of it all, has now aided in the loss of hair from numerous parts of my body. All in all a very trying time. There's only so much that Google can tell me lol.

My experience was very good. The Dr gave me plenty of options going forward, and even gave treatment on the spot, and explained the whole process and what will happen in time. Overall I was very impressed, and will return. I am not sure yet about the fees going forward, I will find out that soon, but initial consult was 100euro, which gave me about 40 minutes consult, including blood tests and steroid injections and plenty of info on my problem. So I was extremely happy with the cost. Going forward will surely be expensive, depending what treatment I decide to take, but you are not pressurised into anything and can choose whichever treatment you wish, if any. Well worth seeing Dr Treacy, at least for initial consultation, to give you options.

The texture of my skin is fantastic

5 50 Laser Skin Tightening

Velo III For Skin Tightening and Fat Removal at Ailesbury Clinic. I had pockets of fat that not matter how hard I worked out I couldn't get rid of and it was affecting my self esteem and how my clothes looked and fit.

I just received my second treatment of Velo 3 and I am so delighted with the results I wanted to write a review. Ann is fantastic and really listens to your concerns and problem areas. After consultation with Ann we decided a different problem area to the one I went in with was the best solution. I wanted to get rid of the fat where my bum and thighs meet. I had put on inches and all my clothes were tight, and dresses shorter. Ann helped me realise working on my bum and lifting that would actually be more beneficial. The difference after just 2 sessions is amazing. the texture of my skin is fantastic and tight, it has lifted from the backs of my legs and is very tight, barely any wobble its amazing.

I also had the treatment of Velo 3 done to my tummy. I had a pouch of fat I couldnt get rid of with any amount of gym classes. In just one session it was gone, I really cant believe it but I am delighted with the results
The procedure is not painful but it is sore and it does get very hot. On the thighs I was a little bruised afterwards but not on the bum or tummy. I found the smaller head on the machine was less painful when you have smaller fat pockets.

Overall I cannot wait for my next session, and 3 sessions is the most you will need!! I recommend Velo 3 and Ann :-)

Fillers in lips and around mouth. Dr. Tracey is not for the anxious patient, as everything went very fast and with little patient information before procedure. With that said, the man is obviously very experienced and an excellent doctor in his field. Very pleased with result. Def going back. Nice, clean, welcoming.

Chemical Peel

A chemical peel is the application of an acid to the skin to achieve a controlled burn to the top layers of skin. Chemical peels are used to remove fine lines, especially around the mouth small scars discolorations such as freckles or liver spots areas of sun damaged skin and spots of precancerous keratoses. Peels can be applied to the whole face or to an isolated area, such as the upper lip. A full-face peel is usually done as a separate procedure before or after a face lift or eyelid surgery. However, if only a small area is being treated, the peel may be done at the same time as the surgical procedure. Chemical peels cannot be done around the eyes. The type and concentration of acid controls the depth of the burn used to achieve superficial, medium, and deep peels.

Deep Chemical Peel (30 mins)

During a deep chemical peel:

  • Youll be given intravenous (IV) fluids and your heart rate will be closely monitored.
  • Your doctor will use a cotton-tipped applicator to apply carbolic acid (phenol) to your skin. Treated skin will begin to turn white or gray.
  • To limit your exposure to phenol, your doctor will do the procedure in portions at 10- to 20-minute intervals. A full-facial procedure might take 60 to 90 minutes.

Light Chemical Peel

Chemical peels have been used for over 100 years to create an even and controlled shedding of built up or damaged skin cells. A chemical peel involves using a solution applied to the skin to remove dead skin cells which stimulates the production of new skin cells. It unblocks pores, tightens the skin, reduces wrinkling, reduces superficial pigmentation and restores a more youthful appearance.

Excessive Sweating Treatment - Ailesbury Clinic
Focal hyperhidrosis is the more common type involving excessive sweating on the feet, hands and, in about 30 - 40% of cases, the armpits. The face may also be affected, but less often. Even less common is gustatory hyperhidrosis, when sweating on the face is triggered by hot or spicy food. Neurotoxin Injection Treatment is recommended for the treatment of focal hyperhidrosis affecting the armpits (axillary hyperhidrosis) when other treatments have not worked. 2. Generalised hyperhidrosis affects the whole body. It is much less common and is usually caused by another illness such as an infection, diabetes or when the gland is overactive. The excessive sweating usually stops when the illness is treated.

Fractional CO2 Laser Treatment

Fractional CO2 Laser Treatment - Ailesbury Clinic

The CO2 laser is a carbon dioxide . Its effects are similar to those of  and , except that the laser removes skin layers by vaporization rather than with chemicals or a sanding device.

An Ailesbury dermatologist specifies the amount of energy transmitted to the skins surface by the laser beam and control the depth of penetration. The fractionalised CO2 laser system can be "ultra pulsed" for facial resurfacing. When the CO2 laser is delivering powerful, rapid pulses, your doctor is able to resurface the skin for cosmetic improvement.

The Ailesbury Clinic uses the worlds most advanced Lumenis Quantum IPL to remove unwanted hair. The Syneron Aurora Laser RadioFrequency SystemAurora laser is also used as it is the only system to have an FDA approval to achieve successful removal of white and gray hair using its combined electrical and optical energy. The FDA has officially cleared the Aurora technology to claim that it achieves permanent hair reduction. IPL Skin Rejuvenation

PhotoRejuvenation is a cosmetic treatment designed to produce younger and healthier looking skin. In Ailesbury Clinic, we have a choice of photorejuvenation lasers. 1. PhotoFacial technique is delivered by the Quantum IPL. 2. FotoFacial RF procedure is delivered by the Aurora IPL. The Quantum uses broadspectrum light to target defects within the skin while the Aurora device uses this and radiofrequency. This method, which marries all benefits of intense pulsed light and optical energy is called ELOS (Electrical Optical Synergy). This is used for the treatment of vascular and pigmented discolorations with the wrinkle and tightening benefits of RF. PhotoRejuvenation is the only procedure that can treat vascular redness, rosacea, open pores, pigmented brown spots, sun damage, skin texture, and collagen structure all at once.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal - Ailesbury Clinic
PPx therapy is the first FDA approved painless treatment for skin rejuvenation, permanent hair reduction and acne treatment. It also requires no pre-treatment anaesthetics or gels. The treatment device uses a combination of broadband IPL light and pneumatic energy (vacuum) delivered through a hand-piece. The treatment is unique in that a vacuum momentarily draws the skin into the treatment hand-piece, so targets such as hair follicles are drawn closer to the skins surface. A light is gently pulsed onto the skin, destroying the unwanted hair, quickly and painlessly. There are several key differences between PPx and other laser treatments. Firstly, it is the first painless treatment for light based hair reduction. Secondly, hair removal on large areas such as the back or whole legs can be completed in less than 20 minutes as opposed to up to 2 hours with other laser and light based hair reduction treatments. Thirdly, it does not require any topical anaesthesia or numbing gels.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Laser Skin Resurfacing - Ailesbury Clinic
ActiveFX is the latest advance worldwide in the treatment of aging skin. In essence; it is possibly the most advanced fractional laser procedure presently available in the world today and it can be performed in a single treatment with minimal patient downtime of about 4 to 5 days. Patients should understand this is a real ablative CO2 laser (totally different to other heavily marketed and much less efficient devices such as the desquamative type lasers which, require multiple treatments to achieve a much less favourable result). During fractional treatment, only a portion of the skins surface is treated by the laser, leaving small "bridges" of untouched skin. This technique makes the healing process much quicker and enables patients to get back to their normal life styles sooner. It is also less painful than other skin tightening RF devices . Other major benefits include the ability to use it under eyes to remove lines that Treatment for lines and wrinkles cannot to used to treat.

Mole Removal

Mole Removal - Ailesbury ClinicMole Removal - Ailesbury Clinic

Moles are very common. They may be flat or elevated. Sometimes they grow hairs. The most important feature however is pigmentation – a brown discolouration of the overlying skin.

When should you be suspicious of a mole?
  1. Recent appearance of pigmentation
  2. Pigmentation that becomes darker
  3. Itching or irritation
  4. Bleeding
  5. Growth in size especially a growth spurt
  6. A mole which was once flat becoming raised.

If you are concerned about the above or any other changes you should consult with Ailesbury. Histology done at St. Vincents University Hospital.

  • The majority of skin lesions can be treated in a relatively simple manner. This entails surgical excision under local anaesthesia. Therefore the assessment and excision can frequently be performed at the initial consultation. If a skin cancer is suspected a diagnostic biopsy may have to be performed at the initial consultation. The treatment is completed as soon as the report is available.
  • If the lesion has a completely benign appearance there is no need to request laboratory analysis.
  • Therefore apart from skin cancers the treatment can frequently be completed on a single visit.

Facial Thread Veins Treatment - Ailesbury ClinicFacial Thread Veins Treatment - Ailesbury Clinic

    Thread veins or

are small, superficial, red, purple or blue veins which can appear anywhere on the body but most frequently on the face. They can be 1- 3mm in diameter and occur when the vein dilates to become large enough to be visible through the skin. Thus, they are generally more of a problem for fairer skin types. They are often classified according to their appearance as linear, branching or spider telangiectasia. Medically they are not serious but cosmetically they can be distressing to many of us.

We normally use multi-wave length IPL in higher energy pulses to reduce facial thread veins.

    Thread Lift

Guaranteed for 5 years.Contour Threads are made from clear polypropylene, a material that has been used inside the human body as a suture material for decades. Contour Threads? are designed with patented dimensional barbs, or cogs, that attach to the subdermal tissue, lifting, suspending and fixating contour of the brow, midface and neck areas. By gently shifting sagging tissues in an upward direction, this technique allows the surgeon to produce a relaxed, fresh appearance while preserving and enhancing the natural contours of your face. This procedure does not replace a conventional facelift; rather it offers patients an innovative, minimally invasive approach.

    Acne Scars Treatment

Acne Scars Treatment - Ailesbury Clinic

After an acne lesion has healed, it can leave a red or hyperpigmented mark on the skin. This is actually not a scar, but rather a post-inflammatory change. The redness or hyperpigmentation is seen as the skin goes through its healing and remodeling process, which takes approximately 6-12 months. If no more acne lesions develop in that area, the skin can heal normally. Any color change or skin defect still present after 1 year is considered to be a permanent defect or scar. Ailesbury uses microneedling, dermaaroller for mild to moderate acne scarring and C02 laser resurfacing for more established scars.

    Keratosis Pilaris Treatment

Keratosis Pilaris Treatment - Ailesbury Clinic

Keratosis pilaris (KP) is a genetic disorder of keratinization of hair follicles of the skin. It is an extremely common benign condition that manifests as small, rough folliculocentric keratotic papules, often described as chicken bumps, chicken skin, or goose bumps, in characteristic areas of the body, particularly the outer-upper arms and thighs. Although no clear etiology has been defined, keratosis pilaris is often described in association with other dry skin conditions such as ichthyosis vulgaris, xerosis, and, less commonly, with atopic dermatitis, including conditions of asthma and allergies. •Keratosis pilaris may be treated with topical immunomodulators . Although these products are approved for atopic dermatitis and eczema, their use would be considered off label for keratosis pilaris. These may be used in more resistant cases or when the patient has considerable skin redness or inflammation. •Photodynamic therapy (PDT) using a 2-step combination of a topical photosensitizer and a light source may be used in off-label fashion for the temporary treatment of keratosis pilaris. Available photosensitizers include aminolevulinic acid or methyl levulinate. Light sources include sunlight, blue light (417 nm), red light (630 nm), and multiple laser devices. PDT has been anecdotally reported as effective, but this successful use of off-label photodynamic therapy requires confirmation. •Laser hair removal (LHR) has been used in keratosis pilaris to decrease hair growth in affected areas. Theoretically, LHR may help decrease the portion of bumps in keratosis pilaris caused by small, coiled, ingrown hairs. There are no studies showing a cure of keratosis pilaris with LHR. •Laser therapies including more aggressive resurfacing lasers, carbon dioxide, fractional lasers, and other aggressive laser therapies have been used in limited cases for keratosis pilaris. There are no studies showing a cu

    Skin Tag Removal

Skin Tag Removal - Ailesbury Clinic

Skin tags are common, acquired, benign skin growths that look like a small piece of soft, hanging skin. Skin tags are harmless growths. Some individuals may be more prone to tags (greater than 50-100 tags) either through increased weight, in part combined with heredity, or other unknown causes. Males and females are equally prone to developing skin tags. Obesity and being moderately overweight (even temporary increases in weight) dramatically increase the chances of having skin tags. Women of normal weight with larger breasts are also more prone to developing skin tags under their breasts. Some small tags spontaneously rub or fall off painlessly and the person may not even know they had a skin tag. Most tags do not fall off on their own and persist once formed. The medical name for skin tag is acrochordon.

    Wart Removal

    Wart Removal - Ailesbury Clinic

Warts are a result of the most common viral infection of the skin. Plantar warts grow on the plantar surface, or the sole, of the foot. They can be found anywhere in this area but tend to produce symptoms in areas of pressure and friction. Ailesbury uses liquid nitrogen, radiosurgery or CO2 laser in the treatment of  verrucaes. Warts can spread directly from person to person, but this isnt common. You are more likely to pick up the virus that causes warts in shared washing areas and showers like those you find in swimming pools or gyms. This is much more likely if you have small cuts on your feet.[
