Lumina Aesthetics Clinic

Please note: This procedure was not performed at Lumina’s own premises. Lumina organised the treatment at another clinic and explicitly stated that they would take responsibility for the procedure and stand by the outcome.

I had been a returning customer of Lumina for several years prior to this experience. I had previously left a positive review and confidently recommended them to friends. Based on this experience, I would no longer recommend them.

On 18/11/25, I contacted Lumina to book an eyebrow thread lift. On 19/11/25, I confirmed an appointment for 3/12/25 at 4:00 pm for an eyebrow thread lift using PCL threads.

When I arrived for my appointment on 3/12/25, I was informed that PCL threads were not suitable for the eyebrow area and that PLLA threads would be required. These were not available at the time. I was offered alternative treatments, including HIFU, which was not suitable for me due to my current skincare regimen. I was then advised that PLLA threads could be sourced and the procedure could be performed the following morning (4/12/25) at 9:00 am.

On the morning of 4/12/25, Lumina contacted me to say that they were still unable to obtain the PLLA threads. Because I had planned this procedure in advance and was flying out of Indonesia later that day, I asked whether the procedure could be organised at another clinic. Lumina arranged for the eyebrow thread lift to be performed elsewhere, using PCL threads.

At the time, I was exhausted by the repeated changes and did not fully register that the same thread type previously described as unsuitable would be used. I was reassured by Lumina that their team would accompany me and cooperate with the doctor at the other clinic, which gave me confidence to proceed.

I was taken to the other clinic. When I was called in for the procedure, the Lumina staff left and said they would return to collect me afterwards, which they did. I left Bali later that day and returned to Australia.

A few days later, I began to notice a snapping sensation in my head. By 8/12/25, it was visibly clear that one eyebrow had dropped while the other remained raised. I contacted Lumina and the staff member who had assisted me, explaining the situation and expressing serious concern. I requested a refund and support with corrective treatment due to the uneven result.

Initially, I was told that Lumina would take responsibility. I attempted to maintain transparency by including both Lumina and the clinic where the procedure was performed in a group conversation. Shortly afterwards, Lumina exited the conversation, and communication from both the clinic and the assisting staff member stopped.

I sent a final message to Lumina on 9/12/25, which was read but not responded to. Since then, I have received no further communication.

Given the assurances I received beforehand and the lack of follow-up or accountability once complications arose, this experience has been deeply disappointing. Based on what happened, I would not choose to undergo treatment through this clinic again.

Premises is very clean and hygiene and patient comfort is clearly of the highest importance.

Today I visited Lumina Aesthetic Clinic for doing Diamond Refine Facial. Got a superb treatment for reducing my acne scars after break our for last two months. Such a nice beauty clinic located in the middle of Bali's city center. All the staffs, beautician, doctors already fully vaccinated, also the clinic already applied for CHSE implementation (healthy standard protocol). If you are in Bali and need to be treated or wanna got a better version of you, I highly recommended this place.

The spa is beautiful! Definitely recommend the SALT treatment room for massages, it is absolutely stunning. I had the vanquish treatment and loved it. The nurses are all so well trained and very professional. I'll definitely be back.
