Dr George Robb
Job Title:
Doctor Biography:
He started surgical practice in New Westminster in 1965, the year in which he received the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in general surgery. Early in his days in New Westminster he began to work with Dr. C.A.A. Armstrong who had become established as the local “guru” for varicose veins, and indeed for venous problems in general. Dr. Robb developed a practice as a vascular surgeon, and gradually moved away from the field of general surgery. From the middle nineties onwards he gradually began to concentrate on the field of venous surgery and had a growing interest in sclerotherapy. In the late sixties he had read a monograph by Dr. Fegan of the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin, and began to realize the potential in this form of treatment. So with the modified new surgical techniques and the developing sclerotherapy techniques, Central Vein became established as a leader in this field.
