I cannot recommend Dr Ravi Rao highly enough. From my very first appointment, he was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely supportive. He took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and made sure I felt heard, understood, and confident in my treatment plan.

I have felt exceptionally well-managed throughout my care. What truly stands out is how supported I’ve felt at every stage — nothing has ever felt rushed or dismissed.

Despite being newly diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and requiring high-dose steroids, I have achieved incredible progress, losing 53% of the weight I need to lose in just the first three months under his guidance. I genuinely don’t believe I would have had this level of success without his expertise, encouragement, and structured approach.

I was extremely impressed with the hospital facilities. The hospital is very clean, modern, and well-organised, creating a calm and safe environment for patients. Every area from the reception to the recovery rooms was spotless and comfortable.

I highly recommend Dr Ravi Rao. I am 3 months post-op (gastric sleeve) and feel amazing, just over 22kg down. Ravi provided information on all aspects from being overweight to the weight loss surgery process and deciding what procedure was right for me.

He is a very straight talker and doesn't sugarcoat anything, you have to want the results to get them and be committed to doing the work. I had only two days where I felt I was 'recovering' from the operation and was back to my normal day-to-day activities after that, with no painkillers, very minimal pain and just following the instructions given.

Now I'm at the gym for 5 days and active recovery for 2 days and feel amazing, it's what I wanted to do before losing the weight but couldn't. If you're thinking of doing this you couldn't find a better Surgeon.

I has some concerns about a proposed surgery so I was seeking a second opinion . Dr Ravi listened, questioned and advised without judgement. I felt very comfortable with his opinion and it cemented my decisions moving forward.

After trying numerous times to lose weight, decided to take the plunge with the surgery. Dr Ravi was recommended by a work colleague - and going with Dr Ravi is a decision I will not regret. He explained the procedure and the changes I would need to make to ensure success and he was clear, if I couldn't make the changes this may not be the way forward. Dr Ravi keeps it clear, tells you what you need to know and with his team makes sure that everything is in place to help you succeed. Trouble free surgery, no complications afterwards and a drop from 118kg to 88kg in 3 months - I couldnt be happier. Thanks Dr Ravi and all your team.

Had Gastric SIPS surgery with Dr Ravi Rao about 3 months ago and the level of care and information he and his team gave was world-class. Stevie (Dietitian), is outstanding in her knowledge and is supporting you with food ideas and keeping you on track. I had the gastric sleeve done in January 2022 and I've had no issues, problems or hurdles. It was a perfect run and I'm down 27kgs, which without having this surgery would have only been a mere dream losing all this weight. I still have more to lose, but I have the tools (and a smaller tummy) and I'm determined to get there.

Dr Ravi Rao has changed my life!
I had struggled with weight gain after years of steriod medication and birthing two children. I decided WLS was my only option after diet and exercise wasnt cutting it. I was uncomfortable in all aspects of my life. I was very apprehensive about having any surgery as I have SLE.
