I am glad I have my life backPritika, UK, 07 07 15

I am a doctor by profession, recently moved into town. I have had two knee surgeries in 2013 and also suffer from sciatica and migraines. Even after two years my knee pain never left me. I have tried everything, seen many specialists but all just said one thing that I would have to live with it. But working in a field that requires me to stand and walk and run around the whole day, there never used to be a day where I would not cry at the end of the day in pain. I have developed a condition called patellar tendonitis which is chronic and the pain doesn't really go away. While googling on this I came across chiropractice to be helpful for this. And that's how I came across Alex and I am glad I did. But being a doctor I wanted to make sure that I am in safe hands and made sure this practice is GMC registered. Now after 7 months of treatment, my pain score is down to 3/10, I have just been to a camping and trekking trip last month. Also my migraines have almost gone, I even sleep better. My sciatica is better as well. I can walk long distances easily. I am glad I have my life back and thank you Alex for doing that for me. I highly recommend him. The clinic is very nice especially the new one. The rooms are spacious and has all the latest equipment. Even the receptionist Emma is very welcoming and remembers each patient. The clinic is GMC registered as well.

In her practice, Kerry combineswhat are probably the two most popular forms of traditional acupuncture today.Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is well suited to treating a wide range ofphysical, mental and emotional symptoms and the 5-Element style, which focusesmainly on treating the many physical and mental conditions that can stem froman underlying imbalance in the energies that flow through us, thereby bringingabout profound changes in a person's sense of well-being. Kerry is a member of the BritishAcupuncture Council. She is bound by Codes of Ethics and Safe Practice and uses needles of the highest quality which are single use and disposable. Kerry follows safety procedures approved by the Department of Health.  In 2010 Kerry gained a certified diplomain Facial Acupuncture following training with Paul Adkins, the founder of Facial Enhancement Acupuncture, which is practised worldwide. Acupuncturist Consultation
Traditional AcupunctureInitial consultation The first time I see you I will spend approximately 1 ½ hours with you. Most of this time will be spent making a “Traditional Diagnosis” which involves asking detailed questions about your current and past health, including factors such as sleeping patterns, appetite, digestion and emotional wellbeing, taking your pulses, looking at your tongue and where necessary a physical exam may be performed. The treatment  Fine, single-use, pre-sterilised, disposable needles are used at specific acupuncture points on the body to stimulate energy. Because many acupuncture points are located on the lower arms and legs, it is helpful to wear clothing that allows easy access to these areas.  When combined with other Chinese Medicine techniques both clinical results and speed of recovery can be enhanced.
Fertility Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been used as a treatment for infertility in China forthousands of years, and recent research has shown that it can be a veryeffective adjunct to more modern Western treatments for infertility such as IVF (In VitroFertilisation), IUI and ICSI. Of course, it takes twopeople to make a baby, so it is important that infertility is viewed as a jointcondition. 40-50% of infertility cases have a sperm defect as the main orcontributing cause. Chinese medicine is able to treat both female and male infertility
Dry Needling
The aim of Dry Needling is to achieve a local twitch response to release muscle tension and pain. Dry needling is an effective treatment for chronic pain of neuropathic origin with very few side effects. The needle used is very thin and most subjects do not even feel it penetrate the skin. A healthy muscle feels very little discomfort with insertion of this needle. However if the muscle is sensitive and shortened or has active trigger points within it, the subject will feel a sensation like a muscle cramp -’the twitch response’. The patient also may feel a reproduction of “their” pain which is a helpful diagnostic indicator for the practitioner attempting to diagnose the cause of the patient’s symptoms. Patients soon learn to recognise and even welcome this sensation as it results in deactivating the trigger point, reducing pain and restoring normal length function to the involved muscle.

Acupuncturist Consultation
Your physical and emotional health depend on natural energy in your body moving in a smooth and harmonious way through channels under the skin. When this flow is unbalanced, your health and well-being can suffer. Acupuncture can stimulate energy and restore your natural balance. This ancient system of healing is recognised by the World Health Organisation as being effective in the relief of a wide variety of conditions. The British Medical Journal has confirmed that it is a safe, gentle form of treatment.Acupuncture is holistic in its approach to the management of disease and the maintenance of health. It focuses on improving your overall well-being rather than just treating isolated symptoms. What to expectWe insert very fine needles into the energy channels in your body. The aim is to stimulate your body’s own healing powers and restore its natural balance. Rest assured that the needles bear little resemblance to those used for injections! They are much finer, and all you’ll feel is a faint tingling. You may need 4 to 6 weekly treatments for you to feel the benefits.Who and what we treatYou may have responded poorly to conventional medicine. You may be worried about the side effects of drugs, or feeling it’s time to try a natural treatment. We regularly see people suffering from anxiety, migraines, arthritis, asthma, hay fever, high blood pressure, circulatory problems, digestive disorders, skin conditions, sports injuries, infertility and menstrual problems, and morning sickness.
