Acupuncturist Consultation

Acupuncturist Consultation - AcuHealthcare
The nature of Acupuncture and TCM allows it to treat a wide variety of conditions; however, it is generally used as the treatment of choice for sprains and strains, allergies, poor digestion, menstrual problems, menopause, headaches, neck and back pain, fatigue, stress, and other minor and self-limiting illnesses. Acupuncture can also be used to promote general well-being and as a preventative method to illness. It can increase energy, motivation and uplift spirits by relaxing the mind and body. The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued an official report listing the conditions it feels would benefit from the treatment of acupuncture. I have listed the most common ailments treated by acupuncture. This is not the exhausted list so please do contact the clinic to discuss your ailment in detail and how you can benefit from a course of treatments.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a form of natural, holistic therapy based on the theory that there are points on the feet and hands which correspond to organs, systems and structures within the entire body. This corresponding relationship is called a 'reflex'. A reflex is stimulated at a certain point to respond to another point or area in the body. In reflexology by massaging these specific reflex points one can bring about balance of the eight bodily systems in order for the body to work together in harmony and unison and thus creating a feeling of well-being. This treatment is relaxing and non-invasive, it is ideal for those of us with busy stressful lives, as it balances the body to restore homeostasis or equilibrium. This is often the treatment of choice for expectant mothers who need to literally take the weight off their feet.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic Acupuncture - AcuHealthcare

Facial Rejuvenation or Cosmetic acupuncture is another branch in the comprehensive Oriental Medicine system, like Traditional Acupuncture it has been established for thousands of years. The technique was used as far back as the Sung Dynasty (960AD-1270AD).

The belief was that a healthy person will radiate beauty.  Facial Acupuncture works to balance the whole bodies Qi and blood flow so that you not only look, but feel healthier and more youthful.  This method of Acupuncture reduces lines, wrinkles and restores luster to the face.
