I chose this clinic because I’d attended it years ago and was familiar. I didn’t get the results I wanted because you have to have multiple sessions before it’s effective. The treatment, as well as the Chinese herbs, are very expensive. I have a few medical conditions I was treating with the acupuncture. I think I went for four half-hour sessions at the clinic. The herbs didn’t really agree with me. However, I was treated very well and enjoyed my experience there.

Ken is always professional and friendly, I first went to him last July, I had just travelled here and was carrying a lot of stress from a transatlantic move,I was experiencing a troublesome pain in my mid back that was coming through to my chest, I had cupping and alternative treatments done in the past, so I knew what I wanted, the treatment was well paced not rushed, I always feeI calm and taken care of by the time the treatment is through. In the days following I felt great relief . Supsequently I have had accupuncture and cupping for neck - shoulder pains from sleeping badly, I have had relief everytime. I love cupping and have grown to go to accupuncture also, no one loves the idea of needle, but Ken is very careful and an aware practioner. Cork Acupuncture Clinic is my go to practitioner whenever me or my family need any treatments. I have had, acupuncture and cupping done, Ken is knowledgeable and a competent practitioner I would and have recommended him. the clinic is clean and warm.It is operated from home Fyi.parking available.

I was very happy with the service and the results. I was suffering from recurring cystitis which cleared up in a few treatments. I went for 6 sessions which also included some massage for a sore shoulder. I also noticed my periods were becoming more regular and less painful. I chose this clinic because of the location and also because of the experience and standard of the therapist. I made an inquiry which was answered promptly, so I made an appointment for later that same day.

I have been going Rachel for a number of health issues the latest being Prolapse after child delivery. Excellent diagnosis and treatment. I feel like I have been given my life back and no longer feel the need to stay a short distance from the bathroom. Fantastic value for money. I am not new to acupuncture rather I had recently moved to Douglas and I chose this clinic after carefully researching all acupuncturists is my my area. I am very impressed with all aspects of my care.

Fertility Acupuncture  
Acupuncture increases fertility rates by over 50%.  It works by adjusting the bodies hormones, this in turn will relax the body and only when the body is relaxed will it produce the right amount of sex hormones.  Each session is accumulative, so after every session your body is producing more hormones in the correct balance, thus more chance of conceiving each month.  A course of 12 sessions is recommended to prime the body for conception.

Fertility Acupuncture  
Detailed history of general health and gynaecological health are taken during the initial consultation. Also details regarding ones mother or sisters gynae health are very useful. An active fertility plan is then discussed often utilising acupuncture, patent herbal medicine ,dietary therapy and supplementation. If someone is planning to start medical fertility treatment, such as IUI/ IVF/ ICSI /Donor IVF then specific acupuncture protocol is utilised prior to and during treatment at specific cycle based times.
Acupuncturist Consultation  
On your first visit to an Acupucture and TCM clinic, a detailed assessment is carried out. All aspects of the person are taken into consideration when the practitioner is making the assessment. Past and current medical history, family,lifestyle, diet and emotional factors are all part of the evaluation. The practitioner relies also on traditional diagnostic skills, including tongue and pulse diagnosis. The inital consultation is often followed by an acupuncture treatment which generally lasts just over 1 hour and subsequent treatments last 1 hour.
