The service at One Acupuncture is top-notch. Alison is very highly trained and experienced so can use the latest developments with Traditional Acupuncture to help complex health conditions. Alison is warm, efficient and intuitive and is helping me regain my energy and zest for life after a long, draining couple of years working through the Covid pandemic in mental health services. Laura, the clinic's front of the house, is equally warm, welcoming and responsive. You will not be disappointed. The clinic is beautiful, clean and light. It is a place to recharge and regain your health.

In western medicine, the goal is often to diagnose disease and treat it specifically; in acupuncture, the goal is to strengthen the entire mind and body, supporting our inherent resilience and resistance to disease. According to traditional Chinese philosophy, our health is dependent on the body’s motivating energy (Qi, pronounced ‘chee’) moving in a smooth and balanced way through a series of channels (meridians) beneath the skin that connect the interior and exterior of the body, and the internal systems to each other. Qi consists of equal and opposite qualities – Yin and Yang. When Qi becomes blocked or disrupted, illness can result. Acupuncture aims to bring all systems into balance by inserting fine needles into the meridians. It can also be used to complement conventional medicine. What can acupuncture treat? I had some acupuncture to treat the pain in my back. I chose this clinic because it’s near to me and the price was good. Got the results I wanted. Definitely worth the money. Frances is such a chatty, fabulous person and a great therapist! There was no pain involved at all. The clinic is situated inside a house, but the room was very nice and Frances was so welcoming. I would definitely go back to her if I need acupuncture treatment again. She’s just so skilled!

I've been suffering from acute back pain the kind that makes it unbearable to get up from a sitting position and from putting weight on one leg. I was treated with a combination of acupuncture, cups and heat to treat the cause of my pain, after my session I felt better but not 100% but as a couple of days went by the pain decreased rapidly allowing me freedom to move more rapidly. I would say that this treatment was well worth the money spent. I found this clinic online, there was a choice of two practices near me but one had retired. The clinic is a clean, calm and zen like place- the kind of place you walk into and automatically fall into a peaceful state of mind. I was put at ease by the acupuncturists and left there very satisfied.
