Acupuncture Clinics

This acupuncturist was extremely approachable, and the minute I sat down for my consultation I felt comfortable, which was lovely, especially as it was my first ever time to have acupuncture. The practitioner was very thorough, took my full medical and symptom history. The treatment itself went very well, and I felt really relaxed, calm, and felt I could trust her which was important to me. I felt a lot of relief from the pain in my knee, and after a couple more treatments I felt my energy levels rise again, and just felt better in myself, both physically and emotionally. I have treatments regularly now and I have since brought my children to her for treatments and they feel really comfortable with her. Absolutely professional, friendly, and really soothing practitioner! No hesitation whatsoever in recommending Better Health Acupuncture Clinic

A first consultation may take up to 1.5 hrs, during which time i will look at your past medical history, your presenting problem, a thorough examination will take place in order to come to a solid diagnosis and a personalised treatment will be tailored to meet your individual needs so as to best improve your health.

Auricular Acupuncture

Depending on what you need during the treatment, i include auricular acupuncture during the treatment and sometimes place ear seeds on the points on the ear that can be stimulated during the days after the treatment at no extra charge.

Electro-Acupuncture

If i feel that electro-acupuncture will enhance your treatment i use it during the treatment, this involves placing small alligator clips on the points which are stimulated through a device which usually gives a very soothing sensation for you, the patient. this is at no extra cost.

Fertility Acupuncture

Fertility acupuncture is similar in experience to acupuncture, a detailed session of diagnosis takes place during the first consultation and follow up details are taking each and every treatment after do see where best to treat you the patient. Some lifestyle advice may be given and some dietary advice.

Tui Na

I regularly include Tui Na ( chinese medical massage ) during treatment especially if there is musculoskeletal pain, as this type of massage can really help to move qi (pronounced chee) and/ or blood  in these painful conditions and i often include chinese oils or balms. at no extra cost.

I trained with the College of Integrative Acupuncture here in Galway. I am registered with A.F.P.A. I have interned at the Pu Shan Clinic with Dr. Wang Zheng who is one of Chinas top traditional Chinese doctors.  I have a great interest in restoring health, treating infertility, helping children (especially with boosting their immune system) and teenagers. I also work a lot with people with stress and mental/emotional issues and restore them to a calm and relaxed place.
