I had a gastric sleeve done in May 2019. I have lost just shy of 5 stone in 1 year. I was very hesitant to do the operation at age 22 but it's the best decision I ever made. Mr. Awad was kind and efficient throughout and the Tonic team have been constantly supporting me. The op went very smoothly and the lift to and from the Derby hospital and London was such a considerate feature. The first 3-4 weeks are tough but completely worth it. I'm well adjusted to my new stomach now. I don't feel like I'm deprived of anything. I feel like now my body isn't always working against me and gaining weight disproportionately. I feel totally in control of my weight and have been quite effortlessly shedding kilos! Thank you Mr. Awad & Tonic for getting me to feel like myself again!

I am a male and had an operation when I was a teenager for a condition called gynecomastia on my left breast. The operation left me scarred and disfigured. I needed to go and have the same operation done on the right breast, but didn’t because of the experience I already encountered. It curtailed me when swimming in public because I had to wear a T shirt. It probably wasn’t that bad, but in my mind it was. Two weeks ago I had corrective surgery on the left breast and liposuction on the right breast by the medical team at Auralia. On my initial visit and consultation with the surgeon Dr. Ahmed Salmen he reassured me that the operation would be a total success and that I would be very happy with the result. The operation went very smoothly and I never suffered any pain or discomfort in the days that followed. I was initially nervous about having surgery and going through the whole process again but delighted I went for that consultation with Dr. Salmen. Two weeks on and for the first time I was able to swim and walk on a packed beach with confidence. For those out there that need gynecomastia surgery or cosmetic surgery, or men that are embarrassed by their man boobs, take the step forward and speak with the wonderful team at Auralia.

Visited Kaunas Wellness Clinic in Lithuania on 18/04/23 for Breast reduction and blepharoplasty of upper eyelids. Was collected from apartment at 9.30 am on 19th. Had blood tests, ecg at clinic and had as taken for consultation with the Dr I had chosen for my surgery. He listened, advised, talked to me about the operations. Took pictures and marked the area being operated on. I felt very comfortable and in control at all times. The clinic was immaculate and from being collected from the Airport, having bloods, ecg, consultation, to meeting an anaesthetist everything was fully explained and everyone was professional and informative and made sure I was comfortable and calm. The rooms were very clean and had remote controlled beds, T.V and air conditioning. The en-suite was clean and had the basics for showering, tooth brushing and toileting. A call bell was given to me for anything I needed. I was given a gown, slippers and a robe and taken to the theatre ( a short walk) I was reassured and spoken to by the anaesthetist on arrival and a cannula was popped in my arm. I only remember waking up back at in my room, being offered a sip of water and having my blood pressure done every 30 minutes/ or hour automatically. I was given an injection to my stomach to avoid thrombosis and was kept comfortable with meds. At no time was I in any Pain. I was offered more pain killers food and drink every time the nurse came in. I was made comfortable and checked on regularly. I felt ok to use the bathroom and used my phone and watched tv between dozing in and out of sleep. I had a cup of tea as often as I asked and was continually offered food. I slept well thanks to a small sleeping tablet. I was given a lovely breakfast and saw the dr at 9am ish who checked me over and discharged me. At 9.30 am I was taken back to my apartment, with discharge medication, full instructions and dressing change items. The following Day (Thursday) I went for a walk around the Acropolis centre. I had a shower of my body and washed my hair on my return and slept well with the medication provided managing any discomfort. I used their version of Uber (BOT) for taxi and food delivery and it was very reasonable, easy to download and came really quickly. I was more than ready for my flight home Saturday early hours. I was collected at 4.15 am and taken to the airport. Arriving home in Cardiff at 8 am. It’s Sunday and my eyes have caused me no discomfort what so ever. I changed my dressings on my breasts and had a lush shower and washed my hair. I had a little bit of bleeding so used the spray I was given and gauze and reapplied my garment. All is well and I have the discomfort under control. I cannot recommend Dr Karolis Cernauskis enough he is experienced and has written many papers on his expertise in his field. I hope to return to the clinic in 6 months for a thigh lift and lipo in the meantime I will be dieting and recovering to ensure a good result. I had previously had surgery in London and Cardiff, this was obviously closer to home and nearly double the price it was in Lithuania. I also had several bad experiences with my treatment in Cardiff, I found their technique to be antiquated and the group not as thorough or experienced. From being picked up at airport the whole experience was so stress free. I had knee replacement surgery. The hospital and the staff from the surgeon to the medical team were brilliant. I would like to thank especially Oskar for always being there with any problems and Malgorzata (physio)for always being so friendly and supportive. I would recommend this procedure to anyone.

I had my sleeve surgery with Prof A. Mickevicius on 19/9/23 at the clinic in Lithuania. After a great deal of research I chose the Professor because of his links to the NHS here in the UK. I was reassured by the cost (more expensive than Turkey but cheaper than UK), as well as the Professor’s vast experience in bariatric surgery. From the early stages of enquiry with Paule, through to my post discharge follow up back at home, I cannot fault them! Absolutely first class service which has beaten some of my experiences with Spire in UK. The hospital facilities are very modern and pleasant, with exceptional standards in clinical hygiene. The nursing staff would attend for observations every 2 hours around the clock, as well as providing an immediate response to any ‘button calls’ from the personal call button provided. The anaesthetist also visited me on the ward pre op and gave a very thorough assessment. The Professor came to see me in my hospital room on the morning of my surgery and again immediately following my surgery, back on the ward and each day after during my hospital stay to check up personally. He was also available at the end of the phone via the ward for any queries I had (mainly my raised BP). If you’re considering accommodation options as part of the package, I would point out that the apartment option is VERY basic. Also, we were in apartment directly on the terrace which could be a little noisey at night with other guests. If I were to return I would opt for the hotel. One difference in Lithuania compared to UK hospitals that you may need to be aware & prepared for is that they do not use a pre-op room for sedation. You will be walked down directly to the operating theatre and sedated in there when you arrive. It could be a little overwhelming for some if you are not anticipating seeing the theatre setting! Again the medical staff are wonderful at putting you at ease. Prof. Mickevicius is very pleasant, personable, and informative. I felt very reassured and safe in his care and would not hesitate to recommend Newman to anyone considering bariatric surgery

Professional, helpful and friendly team. My medical manager who assisted me before treatment and during whole trip was super cute and caring, helped me organizing everything I needed. My plastic surgeon was fantastic, he made me calm and not stressed. I am more than happy with my tummy result, it was my dream for many years. Finally it came true with this amazing team. Forever thankful. 100 % recommend.

After speaking to Judith JobIing at Gastric Band Support Manchester (who I also highly recommend and who has been doing my fills for a couple of years) chose to go to Belgium for a replacement Gastric Band as mine developed a leak. She recommended Obesity Solutions and got in touch with Chris Deprez the Patient Care Manager on my behalf and he contacted me straight away. The process was very smooth and I had a couple of calls and Zoom meetings with him where he explained everything and answered all of my questions. It was such a different experience from the place I initially used for my Band and then subsequently for a breast reduction. I used The Hospital Group then changed its name I believe to Transform Hospital Group. (I would recommend people do not use this hospital, I have put reviews on their website.) I arrived in Belgium with my wife who was allowed to stay in the hotel provided for me at no extra cost. We were collected at the airport and dropped off at our hotel. Any other travel to and from appointments etc was provided in the cost and the driver even collected us from the train station after a day out in Brugge. All my appointments were on time and hassle-free. The morning of the operation I was collected at my hotel and dropped off at the Hospital at 7 am. By 7.45 am I was in the theatre and the operation was finished by 8.30 am. The nursing, admin and surgical staff were fantastic, they could not do enough for me. I was collected from the hospital at 1 pm and taken back to my hotel. I ended up just having a port replacement as that was the part that was leaking. Chris had explained that the Surgeon may do that after the leak was identified on an x-ray the day before. The pain was minimal straight after the operation and has virtually gone now after 1 week. I have had regular contact with Chris since the operation and getting back to England. I have an app on which I log my ongoing weight and I have direct access to Chris anytime. It also is full of other info regarding aftercare, diets, what to do etc. I am honestly overwhelmed with thanks to Chris, his team & the medical staff in Belgium. I also received a refund as the operation was not as big as I first thought. If I had to go for any further treatment, given the choice I would choose Obesity Solutions every time. I had my breast implant surgery 6 weeks ago with Dr Taraquios. I am so incredibly happy with the outcome already! Dr Taraquios you have changed my life! I’m so glad I chose to have my surgery here. The hospital is extremely clean, I felt safe and looked after at all times! Communication also amazing, I would come back and recommend that all!
