Catherine qualified as a physio at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2002 and is currently a member of the CSP, the ACSPSEM and the AACP. Also registered with the HCPC.

Now an experienced physiotherapist specialising in musculoskeletal and sports injuries, Catherine has worked at the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, the 1st European Games, Azerbaijan and the Gymnastics World Championships 2022

Catherine has worked with rugby teams in the North East for many years and from 2013 to 2020 enjoyed working with the highly successful Newcastle Eagles Basketball team.

Apta Vita is the only clinic in North Tyneside to offer TECAR therapy, a form of electrotherapy used in professional sport to accelerate tissue healing. Catherine also enjoys working with more alternative therapies such as acupuncture and craniosacral therapy, and finds these particularly successful for patients suffering from headaches, jaw pain and chronic back and neck pain.

Catherine's passion for sports injuries comes from many years of sports participation, most notably playing for the Scotland women's rugby team.
