Biography:
Originally from South Africa, Lucy has been working as part of the clinic's team for over 20 years. Lucy joined our reception team in 2003 and took over as Accounts Manager and IT Manager in 2005. In late 2013 Lucy took over as Practice Manager - her level head and expertise are invaluable to the smooth running of the service. Lucy is our guru for insurance queries and understands the individual requirements of each provider - she is the key to our very comprehensive service.

Biography:
Having trained and qualified at St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, and as an acupuncturist at the British College of Acupuncture, London, Geoff worked in the NHS at St. Mary’s, The Royal London and St. Bartholomew’s Hospitals. He entered private practice in Wimbledon in 1989. His main interests are in the treatment of musculo-skeletal conditions, sports injuries, shoulder, knee and ankle injuries as well as the application of both Chinese and Western acupuncture. In 2000 he achieved an MSc in ‘Sports Injury and Therapy’, investigating ‘The Effects of Acupuncture on Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness’. He is a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Association (BMAS) and an advanced member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) of which he is a former committee member and journal editor. He has lectured on the Acupuncture MSc course at Coventry University and at Roehampton University on Sports injuries and treatment. Geoff enjoys treating a vast range of conditions, and has a particular interest in sport injuries, and has been physiotherapist to the LTA Junior tennis squad and Sutton Junior Scholarship squad (both formally based in Sutton). He has been physiotherapist to Welsh Exiles rugby covering u14-18 age groups. He is a former rugby player at Henley, London Welsh and St. Mary’s RFCs. In athletics he is a former Surrey County and Welsh Masters javelin champion. Geoff is a qualified level 2 rugby coach (having coached at London Welsh RFC and Welsh Exiles) and level 2 athletics coach at Kingston AC and Polytechnic Harriers. He currently holds a Sports Trauma Management qualification (approved by the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine Gold Level). He is married with two teenage children and has been a partner at Physiocentric since its inception.

Biography:
Chris graduated with distinction from Guy’s Hospital in 1990 and began his career in the NHS working for the Greenwich Health Authority. Alongside his role as a senior out-patient therapist Chris began his role in the physiotherapy team at Fulham FC. He was soon appointed First Team Physiotherapist, and over the following ten years developed the role to head up the multidisciplinary Sports Medicine Team covering the entire professional squad. During this time Chris covered around 900 professional games and won 2 League Champions medals and three promotions. Chris has also worked with athletes from the Sierra Leone sprint team in preparation for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, as well as acting as physio for the England Legends team for Socceraid in 2006. Chris joined Physiocentric in 2001, and became a partner the following year. His work with elite athletes supplements a skill set aimed at achieving maximum results, which he enjoys applying to all injuries and conditions. Chris utilizes a predominantly manual therapy and corrective exercise based approach, and is also trained in the use of our isokinetic dynamometer. In his spare time Chris keeps fit by running, playing football and league cricket, as well as being involved with coaching both sports for his sons’ teams. He is also a Child Welfare officer and qualified cricket umpire! Chris offers clinics in both Wimbledon and Hinchley Wood.

Biography:

Gillian has a Level 5 BTEC Professional Diploma in Sports Massage and Treatments as well as a Diploma in Personal Training. She is a member of The Association for Soft Tissue Therapists.

Gillian has completed in many marathons and ultra-marathons including the London Marathon several times; the Thames Path 50; Beacons Ultra (47mile) and Marathon des Sables (154 mile multi stage race in the Sahara). Also a keen swimmer, preferring open water swimming, Gillian has done the Bridge to Bridge (14km); Jubilee River Swim (10km) and other long distance swims in rivers, lakes and seas. Gillian used to compete in triathlons but now focuses mainly on running and swimming.

Gillian is involved with youth and mini rugby at Wimbledon Rugby Club as a First-Aid Co-ordinator; Qualified time keeper and ASA Level 1 Swimming judge.

Having two children who are both keen on sport, Gillian is also interested in going to the theatre; visiting galleries and exhibitions; music; cooking; walking and hiking.

Gillian is situated at our Hinchley Wood Clinic and offers home visit Sports Massage around the Wimbledon area.
