Originally from South Africa, Lucy has been working as part of the clinic's team for over 10 years. Lucy joined our reception team in 2003 and took over as Accounts Manager and IT Manager in 2005. In late 2013 Lucy took over as Practice Manager - her level head and expertise are invaluable to the smooth running of the service. Lucy is our guru for insurance queries and understands the individual requirements of each provider - she is the key to our very comprehensive service for insured patients and we hope to hold on to her for another 10 years!

Biography:
Chris graduated with distinction from Guy’s Hospital in 1990 and began his career in the NHS working for the Greenwich Health Authority. Alongside his role as a senior out-patient therapist Chris began his role in the physiotherapy team at Fulham FC. He was soon appointed First Team Physiotherapist, and over the following ten years developed the role to head up the multidisciplinary Sports Medicine Team covering the entire professional squad. During this time Chris covered around 900 professional games and won 2 League Champions medals and three promotions. Chris has also worked with athletes from the Sierra Leone sprint team in preparation for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, as well as acting as physio for the England Legends team for Socceraid in 2006. Chris joined Physiocentric in 2001, and became a partner the following year. His work with elite athletes supplements a skill set aimed at achieving maximum results, which he enjoys applying to all injuries and conditions. Chris utilizes a predominantly manual therapy and corrective exercise based approach, and is also trained in the use of our isokinetic dynamometer. In his spare time Chris keeps fit by running, playing football and league cricket, as well as being involved with coaching both sports for his sons’ teams. He is also a Child Welfare officer and qualified cricket umpire! Chris offers clinics in both Wimbledon and Hinchley Wood.

Ms Jane Hewitt

Biography:
Jane Hewitt qualified in 1990, and worked in the NHS for 14 years specializing in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She completed her MSc in Physiotherapy (musculoskeletal) in 2000 at UCL and went on to work in a specialist orthopaedic and spinal surgery clinic as an extended scope practitioner. She started working at Physiocentric in 2004 and concurrently worked in occupational health for a large pharmaceutical company. Her interest in ergonomics and work relevant injury (RSI) developed during this time. Jane treats all areas of the body from early to late stage rehabilitation, and is also a member of the Acupuncture Association of Physiotherapists and the Association of Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics. Jane can perform workstation assessments for keyboard users in their own homes or at their place of work. Jane offers clinics in both Wimbledon and Hinchley Wood

Miss Beena Patel

Beena graduated from the University of East London in 2004, subsequently working in the NHS for the past eight years at various hospitals including St Georges Hospital in London and The Royal Surrey in Guildford. She developed a love for Pilates whilst working as a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist and qualified as a Pilates Matwork Instructor with APPI in 2011. She has completed MACP masters-level modules allowing her to use advanced clinical reasoning skills and manual therapy skills to holistically assess and treat her patients. Beena has also been practicing acupuncture since 2006. For the past two years Beena further specialized into the area of Women’s Health, and more recently Men’s Health, treating anything from pelvic floor dysfunction to antenatal/postnatal pelvic girdle pain. She is particularly passionate about the link between Pilates practice and Women’s Health conditions. Beena enjoys an active lifestyle participating in a variety of sports such as yoga, running, swimming, golf and mountain-trekking and looks forward to ‘peeling back the layers’ to assist patients to return to their full function and most of all , helping patients to discover their love for Pilates.
