Woolpit and Stowmarket Physio

Sarah qualified from the Middlesex Hospital in London in 1974 and gained her Hydrotherapy Diploma from the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in Bath in 1975. On her return to London Sarah worked on a hospital rotation at the Royal Free Hopsital.

Since moving to Suffolk in 1977 Sarah has worked in a variety of settings; within the NHS as a deputy superintent at West Suffolk Hospital, in industry for ICI Paints and Unilever and in independent practice. In 1992 she established WoolpitPhysio which expanded in 2008 to become today’s Woolpit and Stowmarket Physio.

Sarah has a broad based musculoskeletal caseload and the numerous courses she has completed reflect a wide scope of interest. In line with current research she feels strongly about the value of self-management and particularly that of prescriptive exercise.  Expansion of the practice and a shared caseload has allowed her to develop her occupational health interest and she now completes a weekly clinic at a local utility company as well as maintaining her established occupational health links.

Jenny gained a BSc in Anatomical Science at Bristol University and completed her physio training as an MSc at King’s College, London in 2004.  She worked in a variety of specialisations and settings within the NHS in Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Suffolk and also works for RehabWorks Ltd ensuring best practice and evidence based medicine within the company.

Jenny holds a special interest in chronic conditions, occupational health, women’s health and acupuncture.

Claire graduated in 2011 from the University of Essex with a 1st class honours degree in physiotherapy. She has been working at Woolpit and Stowmarket Physio since then and as well as treating musculoskeletal conditions in the clinic enjoys domiciliary visits in the local community. She holds a diploma in Swedish and advanced massage.  She is keen to follow a career which embraces both private practice and the NHS.
