Ian is local to Taunton and was educated at Taunton School in Somerset before heading off to The University of Nottingham to study for a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy. During his school and university years Ian has always had a strong involvement in sport. He captained Somerset under 18s rugby XV and also achieved international honours when he represented hockey for Wales. Throughout his training and employment as an NHS physiotherapist, Ian maintained a keen interest in sports injuries and enjoyed time working for Somerset Rugby Club as their pitch side Physiotherapist. In 2007, an opportunity arose for Ian to become the Physiotherapist for Somerset County Cricket Club. After a year in this role he was appointed Head of Sports Medicine for the club. This was a role he continued for 6 seasons and during this time Ian saw Somerset rise, not only in Domestic Cricket, but also in World Cricket as they reached the semi-finals of the Champions League in India. Whilst at Somerset, Ian was approached to become the Physiotherapist for The ECB (The England and Wales Cricket Board). He completed three tours abroad aiding the development of future England cricket stars.

Away from work Ian enjoys playing hockey locally for Taunton Vale and is a keen cyclist. In October 2013, Ian was proud to complete his first triathlon. 

With Ian's broad base of experience both in elite sports physiotherapy and invaluable time spent working in the NHS, he is able to provide exceptional assessment and management of all your musculoskeletal needs. Ian is currently training to use diagnostic ultrasound which he hopes to offer patients in the near future to compliment his overall assessment. 

Since qualifying from Plymouth School of Podiatry in 1989, Chris has worked privately in the treatment of sportsmen and women at Exeter University, with Marines at Norton Manor Marine Camp, and elite sportsmen at Somerset County Cricket Club.

Chris has interests in all aspects of Podiatry, but a special interest and experience in Biomechanics, gait analysis, the manufacture and issue of custom-made orthoses for the treatment of lower limb symptoms, as well as nail surgery.

Chris manufacturers all the bespoke orthoses/insoles he issues and believes this is an important part of maintaining the quality of patient care.  Advantages include quick turn-around times, easy and quick adjustments and a knowledge of suitability of devices that can only come with manufacturing experience.

Chris is keen that a multi-disciplinary approach is vital in the use of bio-mechanical therapies and relishes the chance of working closely with the skills inherent in the highest standards of physiotherapy and osteopathy.

Interests: rugby, cricket, road cycling and running

Emma has recently returned home to Somerset, having spent a number of years away working and studying.  She became involved in Chiropractic after several horse riding accidents and poor ergonomics at work left her with severe headaches.  A few adjustments later and the headaches were gone, and she found herself signing up to a 5 year chiropractic degree at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic.

Since graduating in 2005, Emma has worked in private practices in London and the South East.  She has a keen interest in pregnancy related conditions and, not surprisingly, headaches and ergonomics.  She did a dissertation on rugby related injuries to the neck and enjoys working with sportsmen and women to help them achieve their ultimate level of fitness.

Emma is also a member of the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association and works on horses and dogs.  A keen horse rider herself, Emma gets great satisfaction in applying her knowledge of human and animal chiropractic to help both horse and rider work together.

Away from work, Emma is Mum to her 1 year old daughter, and if there’s any spare time left after that, enjoys anything to do with the outdoors, especially walking, horse riding and working her dogs.
