Biography:
Qualified as a physiotherapist in Glasgow in 1993 and has gone on to complete his Master in Sports Science in 2000, and his Injection Therapy Diploma in 2007. He presented his Masters research at the BASM conference. Michael had his grounding in physiotherapy at the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow and St John’s in Livingston. He has been involved in sporting physiotherapy full time since 1997. Initially this was with the SRU, before mainly concentrating on football. He has worked with Livingston, Coventry, Bristol City and St Johnstone football clubs. He has been the First Team physiotherapist for Scotland’s national football team since 2002, travelling with them on UEFA European Championship and FIFA World Cup qualifying games. To date he has capped 96 international games and is continuing in the role while working with Perform.

Biography:
Qualified as a physiotherapist in 2001 from Glasgow Caledionian University. Since then she has worked extensively in musculosketetal physiotherapy, specialising in sports injuries. Kirstin enjoyed a year working in a private sports practice in New Zealand where she worked with many sports including the regional hockey and rugby squads. Prior to joining Perform, Kirstin worked with elite athletes at the Sportscotland Institute of Sport. As a sports physiotherapist, she has worked within Premier 1 club rugby, the Scottish Rugby Union with the Scottish Club International Team and with the Scottish Women’s hockey team. Having worked as a physiotherapist for Team Scotland at the Commonwealth Youth games in 2011 and at the London Olympics in 2012 Kirstin has been selected as one of Team Scotland’s physiotherapists for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014.
