David Barton is heading the physiotherapy service having already established an outstanding reputation in the City. David trained in New Zealand following a four-year degree programme at the University of Auckland, which he completed in 1995. He has since specialised solely in private practice physiotherapy within the musculoskeletal field. In 1999 David went on to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy at the University of Auckland, which also coincided with his accreditation in Acupuncture to an advanced registration level. David first started work in the City of London in 2000 and knows the City population well having spent 6 years around the city and in Canary Wharf. A keen sportsman himself David has worked with a number of semi-professional sporting teams and is highly experienced in the care of sports injuries both as a physiotherapist and as a fellow sufferer, after all spending so much time having treatment makes you an expert! Neck and back problems are treated with his manipulative skills, which can be of great benefit especially when combined with customised muscle balance rehabilitation programs. After 11 years of treating people with in a business environment David has built up an excellent knowledge of treating long-standing ergonomic and postural problems. Recently having completed his ergonomic courses gives him further credence to work with businesses in changing their ergonomic set-ups. David does presentations and workshops aimed at companies for this very reason, and to change the ethos of the ‘sitting city worker’. David can also carry out individual workstation assessments (WSA).
