The Buckingham Clinic - Glasgow

Buckingham Clinic has operated in Glasgow since 1935 and is a multidisciplinary clinic.  The principal is James Sneddon, Registered Osteopath.   Our staff are all professionally qualified practitioners offering patients the best level of traditional Osteopathy, Physiotherapy and Sports Therapy mixed with new innovative highly technical equipment such as shockwave therapy, IDD Therapy and Cold Laser to get the best results for our patients.   

An example of IDD Therapy (Intervertebral Differential Dynamics) involves a full rehabilitation approach to degenerative spine disease, whiplash, sciatica & chronic back pain.  It uses negative pressure to isolate each vertebra and deliver pain relief. (computerised targeted traction) Treatments last approx 30 minutes (allow an hour) and patients typically undergo a protocol of 20 treatments over 6 to 8 week period - it's not a quick fix but it is patient friendly and outcomes have exceeded our expectations, delivering a great success rate in over 2000 patients.

We also offer Osteopathic care and Physiotherapy as stand alone treatments.   Functional Movement Assessments, Myofascial & Trigger point Massage, MedX Core Stability sessions, 1-2-1 training sessions,  

Our Physiotherapists and Sports therapists offer remedial or myo-fascial- massage which are extremely popular, especially for clients wishing to remain in peak fitness, or for those who are recovering from injury.   Practitioners using this technique stretch restricted fascia tissue by applying a specified force to an area of the body causing aches & pains, the myofascial release seeks to look for changes in the myofascial structures by stretching and elongating the these tissues, or mobilising adhesive soft tissue,  your practitioner moves through the layers of the fascia until the deeper tissues are reached.  Normally patients attend on a weekly basis until feeling better then opt to take a once a month session to keep healthy.
