Biography:
BSc MCSP Chartered Physiotherapist,. HPC Registered, DipMandy is the Practice principal and qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 1986 from The Queen’s College Glasgow. She has worked in the independent sector for the past 14years, including occupational health and higher education.Sports injuries are her area of expertise; she was Scotland’s head physiotherapist at the Commonwealth Games team in Melbourne 2006 and was part of the Scottish Commonwealth Games Medical team in 1998 and 2002.Mandy has been Lead Physiotherapist for the Scottish Institute of Sport’s Curling programme for 5years and is presently part of their Team planning for the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2110.Over the years she has worked in a number of sports to international level including Scottish and UK athletes, Scottish Hockey and Badminton.She completed a British Olympic Association recognised diploma in Sports Massage Therapy in 2001.As part of her remit with the Scottish Institute of Sport she works with athletes and their personal coaches along with the strength coaches to provide a comprehensive physiotherapy service that ensures Final Rehabilitation is tailored to that individual. A concept she instils in the ethos of the clinic.Mandy’s client base also includes members of the public with back, neck or arthritic pain. Whiplash and post accident pain is a common complaint that she also treats.

Kath Carswell

Biography:
BSc MSc Chartered Physiotherapist, HPC Registered Kath qualified in 1993 from Glasgow Caledonian University and has been in private practice with Mandy since 2001. She is currently physiotherapist for the Scotland Women’s Rugby team after 6 seasons with the men’s U21 side. She has also worked with the Scottish Institute of spot’s women’s hockey programme and is presently involved with their Judo programme’s overseas physio support. She was also a head quarters based physiotherapist at the Commonwealth Games Manchester 2002 Kath works part time as a musculoskeletal specialist within the NHS and graduated in 2001 from Glasgow University with a Masters Degree in Sports Medicine where she studied shoulder problems for her dissertation. Kath also treats the many complaints of daily living from Upper limb disorders to postural back pain putting together a treatment plan to cope with the modern world.

Jenny Rea

Biography:
MSc BSc Chartered Physiotherapist, HPC Registered, Jenny qualified from Glasgow University in 1994 with a BSc Hons in physiology and Spots Science and went on to graduate from Caledonian University in Physiotherapy in 1998. She has had 9years treating musculoskeletal problems and sports related injuries in both the NHS and Private Sector, working at Newlands now for two years. She qualified as a Pilates instructor from the Australian Physiotherapist Pilates Institute. And has directed her pilates work towards Low Back Pain where she modifies it to enhance recovery. She teaches this on a one to one basis or in a class setting.

BSc Chartered Physiotherapist, HPC Registered Kirsten qualified in 1989 from Robert Gordons University in Aberdeen and has gone on to specialise in paediatrics. Her particular area of expertise is in neurological disorders and has gained post graduate qualifications in Hyotherapy (riding for the disabled) Having not only a child specialist in our team but one with a working knowledge of neurology gives us a distinct advantage from which to plan our treatment options and with combined skill base the clinic can combat almost everything today’s world throws at us.
