Stephen Makinde trained at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hampstead, London, where he undertook the full time degree course in Osteopathic Medicine and Naturopathy. Mark graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2003 with a degree in Exercise and Health Science. Whilst studying for his degree, he gained his British Amateur Weight Lifting Association (BAWLA) qualification and subsequently worked as a fitness instructor/manager whilst at university. It was during his degree that he wanted to combine his passion for sports and the knowledge of the body and decided to study for a degree in Physiotherapy.

In 2006, Mark qualified from the University of Hertfordshire with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Over the next three years, he went to work at two NHS Trusts specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. This included outpatient clinics, hydrotherapy, rehabilitation and orthopaedic wards. In 2009, Mark left the NHS and went to work for the Ministry of Defence. He was employed by the Army Primary Health Care Service (APHCS) where he was solely responsible for treating injured service personnel. In 2010, he moved from the APHCS and went to work at RAF Halton Regional Rehabilitation Unit where he still works today. Working as a civilian physiotherapist in the Military allows Mark to treat a wide variety of injuries. It has also allowed him to continue to build upon his exercise/rehabilitation repertoire. In addition to Mark's full-time work commitments, in 2008, he went to work at an elite private physiotherapy and sports injury clinic. Here he had the opportunity to treat athletes with various sporting injuries. In 2009, Mark also had the opportunity to work as part of the medical support team at the World Judo championships. Mark is currently working towards his Bronze certificate with the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine, which is an internationally recognised specialised group of physiotherapists working in sport. Throughout his career to date, Mark has also worked with various sport clubs, including MK Dons, Buckingham and Henley Rugby Club, and he has also spent time at Saracens Rugby Club. Mark is currently studying for his MSc in Sports and Exercise Rehabilitation. Mark is also a member of a physiotherapy specialist interest group: the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and is registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC). Mark works as a Physiotherapist in Hatfield clinic.

Lucy Georgiou provides Osteopathy in Perfect Balances sports injury clinic and also alongside Sara Randall our Osteopath Midwife in the Mother and Baby Clinic for Pregnancy.  Although they are two ends of the spectrum, Lucy finds it interesting working with athletes and pregnant women.  Lucy graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine where she undertook the Masters program in Osteopathy.  LUcy has also worked in the pain clinic at Londons Royal Free Hospital. This knowledge and dedication to her work mean that Lucy is the right person to get you back on track and in good working order. Lucys training has included extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology which help her to decide on the best course of action to take with most injuries. Her skills in applying techniques have lead to many quick recoveries and remedial work to help loosen tight aching muscles.

Mat graduated as a Sports Therapist and Holistic Therapist through Essentials for Health in London December 2012. Mat’s treatments are designed around restoring muscle balance through lengthening and reconditioning tight hypertonic muscles and building strength in the weaker lengthened muscles. Muscle balance enables the body to perform more efficiently with less injury. Although he is newly qualified he has over 250 massage hours under his belt which include treatments for Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow), Plantar Fasciitis, Lumbar Pain, Median Nerve Impingement and Chondromalacia Patella.
