BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy MCSP Shan Lawson BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy MCSP Shân studied physiotherapy at Brighton University; during her time there she had the privilege of working in the World Netball Tournament in Birmingham with the physiotherapy support team. After graduating in 1996 she went to work in Singleton Hospital, Swansea where she was a junior physiotherapist completing half of her rotations. A senior post was calling in Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth and there she went to work to complete her junior rotations and was promoted through the ranks to a Senior I physiotherapist in the out-patients department. During her time in Bronglais she also ran an evening Sports Injuries Clinic for Aberystwyth University. This service ran for a total of three years. During this time Shân also played Netball at County level and supported the team with their injuries. Shân was the physiotherapist for the Welsh Netball Team in the season 2000-01. Shân opened Aberystwyth Physiotherapy & Sportscare Clinic in July 2003. Since opening she has completed her training to use acupuncture as a treatment modality. Special interests include management of neck and back pain using traditional physiotherapy alongside acupuncture, treatment of sports injuries and supervision of whiplash associated disorder. She is registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), the Health Professions Council (HPC), Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice (OCPPP).

BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy MCSP Kevin Mantell BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy MCSP After graduating from the University of East London in 2003, Kevin accepted a post with Ceredigion & Mid Wales NHS trust, working predominately at Bronglais General Hospital in Aberystwyth. During this time he started working here at Clinig Ffisiotherapi Aberystwyth running evening clinics, as well as undertaking the position of physiotherapist for Aberystwyth Town football club. In 2006 Kevin moved to Australia where he was the senior out-patient musculoskeletal physiotherapist at Mona Vale hospital on Sydney's Northern Beaches, as well as covering matches for Manly AFL youth teams, and representing 'allied health' in Occupational Health and Safety. In late 2008, Kevin returned to the UK where he took up a full time position here at the clinic. Special interests include post surgical rehabilitation; management of acute traumatic sports injuries; and end stage sport specific rehabilitation. He is registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and the Health Professions Council (UK), the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand, and the New South Wales Physiotherapy Board (Australia).

BScHons MCSP AACP Claire Rose BScHons MCSP AACP Claire qualified in 2001 with a IIi BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from University of Cardiff, College of Medicine. She then began a permanent job in Morriston Hospital, Swansea where she did her junior and senior II rotations in a range of areas including hand surgery, neurosurgery and musculoskeletal outpatients. She also worked in a private sports injury clinic at the hospital one evening a week. In 2004 she moved to Ceredigion where she is still employed as a full-time senior physiotherapist working in the musculoskeletal out-patient departments in Tregaron Hospital and Lampeter Surgery and with neurological and rehabilitation in-patients in Bronglais Hospital. She has also been working two nights a week in the Aberystwyth Physiotherapy and Sports Care Clinic for the past 3½ years, specialising in pain management and musculoskeletal and sports injuries. She is able to offer a range of physiotherapy skills including manual therapy and exercise therapy, pain management, including acupuncture, post-operative and sports injury rehabilitation and posture and ergonomic advice. She is currently doing a 6-month post-graduate course in non-medical prescribing through Swansea University. She is registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
