Plymouthphysio provides a caring and professional approach for the treatment of musculo-skeletal conditions. We beleive in spending time on your first appointment not only offering you some treatment, but also doing a thorough assessment therefore we know exactly what we are treating.

We believe that a good initial assessment will guide us to the appropriate treatment for each condition. We also believe in "hands-on" treatment, plus advice and support for undersatnding your injury and how to self manage.
 

Spinal Rehabilitation - Neck and Back Injury

A large number of patients we see in the practice have back or neck problems. This may also have associatted referred pain  such as sciatica or headaches. We will do a detailed assessment and treatment will be aimed at reducing pain, restoring movement and advicing you back care, posture awareness and on ergonomics. Sports Injury Rehabilitation - Strapping and Taping

We aim to help you return to your sport and full fitness as quickly as possible. We wil treat the injury and also work with your to a graded  return to fitness. We can also refer you on to specialists if necessary eg for an ultra sound scan, or to specialist podiatrist etc. We can also offer you a customised exercise program which you can download from your computer.

This a gentle tretament to help restore the natural balance of our bodies to heal. It can be excellent with young children and babies and also effective following road traffic accident and whiplash.

Vicky Llewellyn

Biography:
MCSP (The London Hospital, Whitechapel 1979) Vicky Llewellyn MCSP Vicky established her own practice in Plymouth in 1985. Her postgraduate training has been both in the UK and in Switzerland. Vicky is a registered cranio-sacral therapist. She teaches CST on 2-year post-graduate training courses. CST is an excellent complement to her other hands on skills and expertise. Vicky regularly attends on-going professional development courses in both her disciplines in order to remain at the forefront of developments in physiotherapy and CST. Vicky is married and enjoys various hobbies including bird watching, running, cycling and playing the cello.

Tammy Lloyd

Biography:
MCSP. Tammy Lloyd MCSP Tammy graduated in 1984 from Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge. She worked for 3 years in London before returning to the South West to work in various NHS out-patient departments in South Devon and Cornwall. Since 2003 Tammy has worked in private practice. She has wide experience of treating musculo-skeletal conditions but with a particular interest in back and knee problems and also sports injuries. Tammy is married and has 3 children. She is a keen sports woman, running and playing racket sports regularly.
