Dear Mr Lewis,
Thank you so much for boldly going where no surgeon would go before!
You performed a hip replacement on my cousin,(4 weeks ago), who has severe learning difficulties. We had been told by other surgeons that because of the extensive degeneration of his joint that replacement surgery wasn't possible and a more palliative approach was recommended.
We always knew that any procedure wouldn't be straightforward, however, we have been surprised and amazed, in equal measure, at his progress to date. He is pain-free and his movement far exceeds what we hoped he would achieve. Before the operation he was almost wheelchair-bound; you have given him a new lease of life!
The care he received at Goring Hall was exemplary and the Team could not have done more for him, including the catering staff and housekeepers.
A special mention to Dr Aash who's bedside manner and caring approach was truly heartwarming. We would also like to thank Laura the Learning Disabilities coordinator who was a constant source of support for him throughout his journey.
Thank you all for your kindness and outstanding care.
