5 50 Knee Replacement

My wife's Knee Replacement appointment at the Horder Healthcare in Crowborough went very well and I was so pleased with how efficient the staff were.

We were given a great consultation and great treatment all at a fair price and time was an issue so we appreciated how quickly they attended to the problem.

Biography:

Matthew qualified from the University of Southampton in 2004. He has gained extensive experience in both NHS and private physiotherapy, specialising at an early stage in his career in the management of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. Before joining the Horder Centre, Matthew worked as a MSK team leader for a busy inner London NHS Trust, providing treatment to patients with acute and chronic MSK conditions as well as providing regular education to local GP’s.

Alongside his NHS work, Matthew has gained valuable experience in the management of sports injuries, having worked part time in a nationally recognised Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) private physiotherapy clinic for over 4 years. He was regularly involved in the screening of players pre-season to prevent injury as well as utilising extensive manual, hands-on techniques and sports-specific rehabilitation to help players return to sport as quickly as possible.

Matthew believes strongly in identifying and addressing the primary causes of people’s pain and not just treating the symptoms present. He is passionate about educating the patient so that they are fully informed in the treatment options available to them. He has been qualified in the use of acupuncture in the treatment of MSK problems since 2004 and is currently completing his second Masters-level module, working towards a post-graduate certificate in advanced physiotherapy.

Biography:

Debra graduated from Brunel University in 1996. She has gained invaluable experience in both the NHS and Private Sector in the assessment and management of both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions and post surgical rehabilitation.

Debra believes strongly in the effectiveness of hands –on treatment such as joint mobilisation and soft tissue massage. She is also an advocate for patie nt education and endeavours to teach her clients corrective exercise, self-management and injury prevention skills.

She is qualified in sports and therapeutic massage and is a qualified Modified Pilates Instructor with The Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI).

Anne-Marie graduated from the University of Brighton in 2009. She joined The Horder Centre in November 2009 as a member of the Inpatient physiotherapy team, working with post-operative patients until joining the Outpatient team in 2011.

During her time as a student, Anne-Marie gained experience in many different areas of physiotherapy in the NHS across the South East, developing a particular interest in the treatment and management of sports injuries and hydrotherapy.

Since 2011, Anne-Marie has been working with Brighton and Hove Albion Girls’ Centre of Excellence offering pitch-side physiotherapy support on match days for the girls aged 11-17. In the near future Anne-Marie is hoping to embark on further training to continue to diversify her skills.
