St. Catherine in Zabok, Bracak 8, (hereafter: St. Catherine Specialty Hospital) is a European Centre
of Excellence with the latest diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitation infrastructure.

The hospital uses the latest technologies and methods in providing healthcare solutions
in collaboration with leading European and American institutions and specialists.
Consequently, the hospital has brought together eminent experts from the areas of
Croatian registered activities who are constantly and systematically involved in
continuing medical education (overall 13 physicians of whom 12 completed PhD
studies or are close to completion of their doctoral studies) as a guarantee of providing
superior healthcare service to our patients. Furthermore, the physicians of the St.
Catherine Specialty Hospital is affiliated with all four medical faculties in Croatia
and among them are: an associate professor, three assistant professors and another
three teachers who are in the final phase of election to the academic title of assistant
professor.

radiological diagnostics, five operating rooms, orthopedics department, day hospital
for outpatient surgery and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), standardized and
equipped for 24-hour intensive supervision.
A distinctive feature of the St. Catherine Specialty Hospital is its “Acute Pain Service
Team”, an integrated multidisciplinary body which adheres to the World Health
Organization Declaration that a “life without pain constitutes a fundamental human
right”. As such, it is unique in Croatia.
