Nine months down the track and so happy that I referred to Dr Curtis. I don't know how to thank Dr Curtis for the amazing work he did on my lumbar spine. The initial week brought noticeable swelling and bruising, so I rested, avoided strenuous activity, and slept with my head elevated. Pain was manageable with prescribed medication, though I experienced tightness and numbness for several weeks. An impromptu “surprise” 60th birthday invitation two weeks post-surgery had me worried, but Dr Ha suggested a procedure at another clinic to reduce bruising, which helped immensely. Swelling subsided enough for me to go out, and minor bruising lingered for about a month. At six weeks—and now nineteen weeks out—I am still thrilled with the results. Dr. Havas was very good. He explained what surgery I need and the estimated cost. He is a down to earth doctor who definetly knows his thing and he is easy to talk to unlike some other specialists who can't even crack a smile. His consultation fee is reasonable considering he is a Professor in his field.
