He did his GP training in Aberdeen in 1985/86 and joined the practice in 1987. In 1991 he obtained his Sports Medicine Diploma. Arthur's medical interests include Sports Injuries, a service which he also provides to other practices in the district, Musculo-skeletal Medicine and Rheumatology. At the surgery Arthur provides a late Tuesday evening GP surgery to facilitate working patients. In addition to this, Arthur runs the Musculo-Skeletal service for the Eastern Wakefield Primary Care Trust (EWPCT) and is a foundation fellow of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He is Medical Officer to Leeds Rhinos RLFC, a position that he has also held with Castleford Tigers RLFC and the Great Britain Rugby League Team. His wife is also a GP and they have two daughters. His other interests are skiing, all sports and the theatre.

Medical interests include Women's Health, Asthma and work related problems. Carole has a Diploma in Occupational Medicine. She is Medical Adviser to a number of companies including Trebor Bassetts at Pontefract and York and Dunlop Slazenger at Normanton. She is GP representative of the Yorkshire Group Committee of Occupational Medicine. Her outside interests, when she has the time, include her husband, motor boating off the south coast, fast cars, good food and her two cats.

Dr Higgins was a registrar at two local practices, at Station Lane in Featherstone in 1994/95 and at Northgate, Pontefract in 1996/97. He joined the practice in 1997. John's medical interests include Dermatology, Minor Surgery, Diabetes and GP Training. He does sessions in Dermatology at Pontefract General Infirmary and Castleford and Normanton District Hospital. He is also visiting dermatologist to HMP Wakefield. His other interests are Keep-Fit and Rugby.

- MBCHB 1992

In Practice, Dr Earnshaw oversees the dispensing and the business side of the Practice. He is a PEC member of the local PCT and is a member of Wakefield LMC. In 1996 he set up the local GP Co-operative and is Chairman of this organisation. He is married and has three children. He plays tennis regularly and golf when he can and likes good food. He is interested in sport of all types but particularly likes Rugby Union. He is also a lay leader at a local church
