Dr. Ming k Yoong - Liverpool

Dr Yoong was raised in Malaysia. He completed the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in Sydney University on a scholarship and has stayed on to further his training through Westmead Hospital and it affiliates, later spent a year as a Pelvic Surgery Fellow in Liverpool Hospital, to consolidate his training in advanced laparoscopic (key hole) surgery. He was appointed as the Senior Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for Liverpool Hospital prior to obtaining his Fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) in 2008. Dr Yoong speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese, with special interest in High Risk Obstetrics and gynaecological laparoscopic surgeries. His other interest includes the training of future doctors with his active involvement in the teaching and mentoring of the junior medical staff and medical students of UNSW. He was the college training coordinator for the Liverpool Network from 2008-2011 and sat on the NSW Training Accreditation Committee. Dr Yoong is also a trainor, regularly invited for conducting training sessions for the general practitioners in Western Sydney.
