Arno Benedict Sailer is originally from a small, nice place to Innsbruck in Tyrol. His eyes-related career he began as an optician. He then completed a master opticians and eye care with auditing.

Dr. Schmidt completed his medical studies at the University Hospital Homburg / Saar and at the University of Ulm, where he received his doctorate in 1989. His residency training was held at the University Eye Hospital Giessen and at the University Eye Hospital and the Institute of Pharmacology, Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, New York, instead.
