Biography:
Was born on February 25, 1965 in Santa Maria da Feira. Enrolled in primary school with five years and the Faculty of Medicine of Porto, with 17 years completing the course with an average of 14 values.
did his compulsory military service in the Portuguese Air Force.
Did internship at the General Hospital of Vila Nova de Gaia and in 1990 joined the specialty of Ophthalmology General Hospital Santo António in Porto with the score of 86 points out of 100 in the national entrance exam in the specialty boarding schools especialidade.Terminou in 1995 with 18.6 valores.Foi admitted within the hospital as Orderly in 1999 having risen to the rank of graduate assistant for hospital 2002.Encontra contest is currently on leave of absence without pay long-term exercising only activity level privado.É author of nearly 100 scientific papers presented at national conferences and international in the areas of pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Cornea, Cataract Surgery and Refractiva.Estagiou in Nancy in France with Dr. Anette Spielmann.Foi invited by Dr. Eugene Helveston (USA) to provide training to internal americanos.Participou activities of SPO (Portuguese Society of Ophthalmology) particularly in groups and in the organization of the congress nacional.Foi graced by the SPO with Manuel de Lemos.Foi prize awarded in 2009 by the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery with one of the Best Papers of the Session.
